📌 The 61-year-old patient attended the Ophthalmology Specialist Hospital of the Health Care Authority in Port Said Governorate, and the necessary medical examinations were performed for him, and the case was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder as a result of an immune disease that affects the eye tissues that are immunologically similar to the thyroid tissue, which causes inflammation Swelling and fibrosis of the eye muscles and causes around the vertical and horizontal muscles of the eye.
📌 Immediately, the beneficiary was entered the operating room to fix the vertical and horizontal strabismus, and by following up on the condition after the operation, it was found that there was a noticeable improvement in the patient's condition.
📌 Such operations are considered one of the most difficult strabismus operations, as cirrhosis of the eye muscles makes the calculations of the strabismus angle unpredictable, and fibrosis and infections affect a large number of horizontal and vertical eye muscles, which causes great duplication of vision for the patient.
📌 While the surgical intervention for such cases is carried out in two or three stages of surgeries until the repair is completed, but the operation was completed in one stage and successfully.
