The Board of Directors of Egypt Healthcare Authority, chaired by Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Assistant Minister of Health and Population, General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Scheme, approved the launch of an initiative for early screening and treatment of spinal defects in children in the departments of the Comprehensive Health Insurance.
This was the case during the monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of Egypt Healthcare Authority, No. 61, which was held at the headquarters of the Authority in Nasr, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, to discuss the most important issues relating to proposals for the development of work and policies and the development of future plans to ensure the continuous regulation and regulation of the provision of health care services to the users of universal health insurance with universal professionalism and quality.
During the meeting, the Board of Directors of the Authority approved the launch of a free medical screening campaign for school students "Acquire your son" for the school year 2024/2023 in the governorates of the Universal Health Insurance "Port said, Luxor, Ismailia," and Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky indicated that he was the target of the campaign for the screening of more than 252,000 students in the various age groups and stages of education in the three governorates.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky explained that these initiatives are part of the health-care system's attention to the general health of children and young people in the country's future, in line with the concerns of the political leadership and the State's efforts to launch several presidential health initiatives, such as the early detection of "tooth, anemia and dwarf" diseases, genetic diseases and the poor hearing of newborns, with a view to ensuring the health of children and the early detection and immediate treatment of diseases through the provision of medical services, treatment and health care.
During the meeting, the Board of Directors announced that the Prime Minister decision No. 4236 of 2022, concerning the approval of the transfer of 141 health installations in the governorates of Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez and Aswan, had been completed from its various branches to the General Authority for Health Care, which would replace them in all their rights and obligations with regard to those assets.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky noted that the asset receipt operations had been completed in Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez, and that transfers of assets in Aswan had been completed within a week of its history. He also directed the El-Sobky to pay an exceptional reward to the Authority's Asset Receipt Committee in recognition of their efforts.
The Board of Directors of the Authority discussed the use of an advanced health insurance cost-accounting system that operated with artificial intelligence in line with current technological developments, ensuring good management of health-care costs and the accuracy and efficiency of claims.
The Board of Directors of the Authority approved the adoption of the Manual on Dental and Dental Services for Deaf and Dumb Persons, and in principle the Board approved the signing of a cooperation protocol with the Sanofi Pharmaceuticals Company to launch an application for the care of ACT patients operating with artificial intelligence, thereby improving patients experience and reaching the highest rates of satisfaction of the users of the universal health insurance service.
It should be noted that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Health Care Authority No. 61 brought together Dr. Hani Rashid, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors of the Board of Directors, Dr. Ihab Abu Aish, Vice-Minister of Finance and Vice-Chairman of the General Authority for Universal Health Insurance, Dr. Ihab Tahmet, Captain-General of Dental Medicine, Dr. Samy Saad, Captain-General of physiotherapy, Dr. Farid Mahram, Expert on Health Cost Accounting and Economic Adviser to the Health Care Authority, Counsellor Mohamed Farouk Musa, Vice-President of the Council of State, Dr. Fatten Abdel Aziz, Professor of the Egyptian Medicine Board and member of the Management Committee of the General Association of Pharmacists.
Through the Zoom technique, Dr. Wael Abdelaal, a civil society member of the Department of Health Care experts, and Dr. Kowthar Mahmud, the general chief nurse and senator, participated.
The meeting was attended by Egypt Healthcare Authority, Dr. Sharif Kamal, Adviser to the Chairman of the Board for Pharmaceutical Affairs and Drug Management, Dr. Fathi Shams Elden, Information Adviser to the Chairman of the Authority and the Director-General of the Department of Public Information, Dr. Ahmed Hamad, Director-General of the General Directorate of the Technical Office of the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Mahmoud Shahat, Director of the Technical Office of the Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Control and Follow-up, Dr. Marwa Moafe, Director of the Medical Department of the General Directorate of Secondary and Third Care and the General Supervisor of the Medical and Treatment Committees chaired by the Board and its branches.
