Today, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, President of Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and Hayah Kareema projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, conducted an inspection tour of the Authority’s Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital in the South Sinai Governorate, at the conclusion of his field visit today to the South Sinai Governorate.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky inspected the various departments at Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital, including the hospital’s emergency departments and evening clinics. El-Sobky was reassured about the regularity of work and the provision of the best service and health care to patients, as he sought their opinions about the medical services provided, their quality, and their satisfaction with them.
During the visit, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky also surveyed the opinions of foreigners and those arriving for medical tourism regarding the services provided at Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital, where the tourists praised the medical services provided, in addition to the hotel services provided at the hospital at the highest level.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky pointed out that Sharm El-Sheikh Hospital is internationally accredited and is working on implementing the largest medical tourism programs under the umbrella of the Medical Tourism Care Authority project (We Take Care of You in Egypt).
El-Sobky stressed that Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital is a large medical institution qualified to provide many medical and therapeutic services to Egyptian and international patients in accordance with the latest international standards.
It should be noted that the field visit of Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Head of Egypt Healthcare Authority, today, in South Sinai Governorate, began with a meeting with Major General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, then he inspected the ongoing development and construction work at the new Nuweiba Specialized Hospital, followed by an inspection of the Family Medicine Center. Al-Muzina of the Welfare Authority in Nuweiba in the governorate, followed by an inspection of the construction work at the new Dahab Specialized Hospital, and an inspection of the health services provided at the Dahab Family Health Center, and concluded with a visit to the Authority’s Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital in South Sinai.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky was accompanied, during his visit to Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital, by a number of leaders of Egypt Healthcare Authority and directors of central and public departments at the main headquarters, namely, Major General Sherif Bilal, Assistant Executive Director for Engineering Affairs and Projects, and Dr. Ahmed Hammad, Advisor to the President of the Authority for Health Policies and Systems and Director General of the General Administration for International Cooperation, Dr. Mohamed Nashaat, Director of the Secondary Care, Monitoring and Evaluation Department, Engineer Mohamed El-Sisi, Director of Crisis and Disaster Management and General Supervisor of International Partnerships and Achieving the Authority’s Vision, and Dr. Asmaa Salman, Director of the Marketing and Business Development Department, and Dr. Ayman Rakha accompanied him, Director of the South Sinai Health Care Authority branch, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Mallah, deputy director of the branch.
