The Chief of the Universal Health Insurance Coordination is directed to establish a tripartite committee of the system to formulate requirements for the development of the automated communication center and new electronic platforms and to develop performance indicators to ensure the highest efficiency and quality. The Coordinating Committee of the three bodies of the Universal Health Insurance System, chaired by Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, President of the Public Health Care Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and Decent Life Projects of the Ministry of Health and Population and Chairman of the Coordinating Committee, approved the preparation of an integrated study to add a new package of services for mobile stakeholders within the services of the Universal Health Insurance System and in accordance with the standards of the global health systems.
This was the case during the periodic meeting of the Universal Health Insurance Coordination (CHI) No. 25, chaired by Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Executive Directors of the three bodies of the system, Dr. Amir El-Telwany, Executive Director of the Public Health Care Authority, Dr. Husam Abu sati, Executive Director of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, and Professor Mai Farid, Acting Executive Director of the General Universal Health Insurance Authority.
During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky stressed the importance of providing an integrated package of medical services to those with special interests and abilities on a scientific and sound basis, in fulfilment of the directives of His Excellency President Abd-elfattah El-Sisi, in an effort to empower them and optimize their capacities and to help them integrate into all areas of society, and pointed to the importance of developing standard work manuals for centers for the care and rehabilitation of persons with motor disabilities with universal health insurance in order to ensure the highest degree of efficiency in providing them with a distinct and integrated medical service.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the development of the Col Centre network to facilitate user screening at health-care facilities in the governorates of the health-care system. Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky directed the formation of a tripartite committee of the three agencies of the system to formulate technical requirements for the development of the system automated communication center and new electronic platforms in order to ensure that it was operated with the highest efficiency and quality and to increase the absorptive capacity to do so in line with the extension of the after-service health insurance to all governorates of the Republic by 2030.
He noted the importance of formulating performance indicators for the system automated communication center and interactive electronic platforms, to ensure that they operated with the highest accuracy, efficiency and quality, in line with the wishes and expectations of the service users and to achieve their highest satisfaction rates, and stressed the importance of ensuring the confidentiality of data and information, and that the Tripartite Commission periodically presented the results of its work to the Coordinating Committee for implementation decisions.
The meeting discussed the scenarios for the establishment of the headquarters of the Universal health insurance system in the newly acceded governorates, which would contribute to the optimal management of the system in an easy and expeditious manner and achieve its objectives of providing Universal health coverage to every Egyptian and Egyptian with dignity, justice and global quality.
The meeting of the Coordinating Committee was attended by Dr. Jamal Ratabh, Adviser to the Chairman of the Authority for Financial Affairs and Head of the Central Department of Institutional Support Services, Dr. Ahmed Hamad, Adviser to the Chairman of the Authority for Health Policies and Systems, General Hisham Shendi, Assistant Executive Director for Electronic Health and Telecommunications Medicine and Director of the General Directorate for Information Systems and Digital Transformation, Dr. Mahmoud Shahat, Director-General of the Technical Office of the Chairman of the Authority, Dr. Saly Abd-elRauf, Director-General of the General Directorate for Branch Affairs and Head of the Technical Secretariat of the Coordinating Committee, Dr. Marwa Muafe, Director of the Medical Department of the General Department for Secondary and Third Care and General Supervisor of Medical and Treatment Committees chaired by the Authority and its branches, Dr. Heba Abdel Aziz, Technical Supervisor of Telemedicine Units and the Commission website, and Professor Tamer Abd-ellatif, Managing Director of the Office of the Executive Director of the Board and member of the Technical Secretariat of the Coordinating Committee.
The Health Accreditation and Oversight Authority, Dr. Rania Hassani, the Director-General of the General Administration for the Accreditation and Registration of Health Facilities and a member of the Technical Secretariat of the Coordinating Committee, and the Universal Health Insurance Authority, Professor Mona Zain Eldeen, the Director-General of the General Administration of the Technical Office of the Executive Director of the Authority, and Professor Shiraz Samir, the Information Technology and Digital Transformation Consultant of the Authority Digital Transformation Projects, participated.
It should be noted that the Coordinating Committee of the three bodies of the Universal Health Insurance System was established by a decision of the Prime Minister State, with the aim of maximizing cooperation among the three bodies of the system and accelerating their implementation in the governorates.
