Egypt Healthcare Authority participates in the inauguration ceremony of the French Development Agency grant for technical and technical support for the Universal health insurance system provided by the French Development Agency and its executive arm, the French General Agency for International Technical Cooperation “Agency des Experts de France”.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority, stressed the importance of cooperation with the French Development Agency and its executive arm for technical and technical support for the Universal Health Insurance system, and its three bodies, especially Egypt Healthcare Authority, the main beneficiary of the grant, expressing his happiness at the start of implementation, and the coincidence of the launch of the grant with Four years have passed since His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, officially inaugurated the Universal Health Insurance system in Port Said Governorate, stressing the strength of Egyptian-French relations in various fields, especially the field of health care.
The head of the French Development Agency in Egypt praised the efforts of the Health Care Authority in coordinating the agency’s grant for technical and technical support for the comprehensive health insurance system, and stressed the importance of Egyptian-French cooperation in the health field.
Dr. Ameer El Telwany, the Executive Director of Egypt Healthcare Authority stressed the importance of cooperation with the French side to exchange experiences with French experts and to continue providing the best service and healthcare to the Egyptian citizen with world-class quality. He reviewed the achievements of health reform in Egypt, and the achievements and successes of Egypt Healthcare Authority over the 4 years since the inauguration of the system, the most important of which are Providing 32 million medical and therapeutic services, mechanizing and digital transformation of services by 100% in family medicine centers and units, and 80% in hospitals, registering and accrediting 157 health facilities, and many other achievements, in addition to its success in obtaining Arab and international accreditations, honors and awards.
The inauguration ceremony of the technical and technical support grant provided by the French Development Agency was attended by a number of leaders of Egypt Healthcare Authority, advisors to the Authority, directors of central and public departments, general supervisors of the various sectors of the Authority, representatives of health authorities, and representatives of international development agencies, JICA, the World Health Organization, universities and the sector.
