The General Authority for Health Care announced the provision of medical and treatment services to 500 high school students in Port Said and Luxor governorates, as part of the medical insurance plan for the high school certificate exam in the two governorates for the current academic year 2021/2020.

The Health Care Authority indicated, in a statement today, that the medical insurance plan for the exams for high school students included the application of all medical and preventive measures, and follow-up on the commitment of students, observers, supervisors and workers inside schools and committees to wear masks through health care officials, in addition to providing thermal detectors to measure the temperature. Students and supervisors before entering the committees with alcohol disinfection of hands.

The plan included disinfection and sterilization of committees, tools and common surfaces in accordance with infection control protocols, ensuring good ventilation for classrooms, in addition to the availability of all emergency and first aid medicines in clinics inside schools, as well as the spread of instructional signs in educational facilities to raise awareness of preventive measures against infectious diseases, in addition to raising the degree of preparedness. The emergency operations rooms were held in the two branches of the authority in the two governorates around the clock to deal immediately with any emergency or event.

And the authority added: The medical insurance plan for the high school exams is based on early detection and immediate isolation of suspected cases of any infectious disease in rooms designated for them inside schools, and calling the doctor to examine the case, to confirm or deny the infection and provide appropriate treatment, noting that in the case of suspicion With the injury of a student, he is transferred to the nearest hospital of the Health Care Authority in coordination with the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, to assess and diagnose the case and receive the necessary health care for it. Preventive measures followed in this case are also taken to follow up on contacts for a period of two weeks, in addition to informing the educational administration to register the injured case according to the procedures followed in that matter.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Health Care, stressed the authority’s keenness to secure medical services for school students through its health facilities in various governorates, to implement the new comprehensive health insurance system, at all educational levels, whether by launching health initiatives for early detection of diseases and reassurance of students’ health Example (A campaign to check on your son) launched by the authority for a free medical examination of students in Port Said governorate, or through the authority’s continuous efforts to secure all medical services and implement preventive and precautionary measures in various activities and events in conjunction with the state’s measures to address the Corona virus, which comes within the framework of The Egyptian state's interest in the public health of citizens, especially young children and school students, is the country's coming future.
