The Egypt Healthcare Authority announced the continued provision of free comprehensive health check-ups and health awareness campaigns in Upper Egypt governorates, as part of the presidential initiative "A New Beginning for Every Individual." This initiative aims to promote public health and improve the quality of life for citizens.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, explained that under the presidential initiative "New Beginning," the Healthcare Authority has been able to deliver awareness and educational services that have contributed to raising health awareness regarding a healthy lifestyle. More than 120,000 beneficiaries across the governorates applying for Universal health insurance have undergone medical examinations as part of the presidential "100 Days of Health" initiative. These services included women's health screenings, early cancer detection, newborn hearing tests, screening for chronic diseases, kidney health assessments, premarital examinations, and cancer detection.

The Chairman added that comprehensive, free medical check-ups have been conducted for over 100,000 beneficiaries of all age groups, highlighting the components of the medical examination that aim for early detection of chronic diseases and their complications. These include examinations like blood pressure measurement, dental check-ups, hemoglobin level tests, blood type determination (RH & ABO), and random blood sugar analysis. If high blood pressure or elevated blood sugar levels are detected, a full examination follows, including tests like triglycerides, cumulative blood sugar, kidney function, eye fundus exam, and ECG. If high-risk results are found, the patient undergoes an echocardiogram to ensure heart health and overall well-being.

Dr. El-Sobky further explained that the "A New Beginning for Every Individual" initiative is integral to the national agenda for achieving sustainable development goals within Egypt's Vision 2030 framework. He stated, "We are committed to building a healthy, educated community that can keep pace with global developments. This initiative is a cornerstone in achieving that goal, where we strive to improve the quality of life for citizens by promoting health awareness and enhancing the healthcare services provided."

El-Sobky added, "We are continuously working on developing healthcare services to meet citizens' needs. With presidential support and ongoing monitoring, we have established a central room to monitor and evaluate the work's progress, alongside deploying specialized field teams conducting awareness and educational sessions across the governorates. Their primary goal is to reach all segments of society and promote the concept of comprehensive health, whether through awareness or direct healthcare services."
