The Egypt Healthcare Authority announces the renewal of accreditation for Al-Nasr Specialty Hospital according to the GAHAR national accreditation standards recognized internationally by ISQua for another three years.

The Egypt Healthcare Authority announced the successful accreditation of Al-Nasr Specialty Hospital in Port Said and "Al-Shifa Medical Complex," the first medical complex in Port Said, passing the national GAHAR accreditation standards recognized internationally by the ISQua organization.

The statement by the Authority clarified: the total medical services provided at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, which exceeded one million and nine hundred thousand medical services, since the start of the universal health insurance system until now, noting the total medical services provided at Al-Nasr Specialty Hospital in Port Said, which exceeded more than 2 million medical services according to international quality standards, since the launch of the universal health insurance system in the governorate until now.

The statement noted: Al-Shifa Medical Complex includes 152 beds, in addition to 6 pharmacies and 10 outpatient clinics, the main laboratory including biochemistry, hematology, medical immunology, parasitology, hormone laboratory, and a blood bank. Al-Shifa Medical Complex offers many medical services in the fields of surgery for tumors, orthopedics, digestive endoscopy, hematology, internal medicine, intensive care, and the dialysis unit. It also includes device x1, the latest in the world for digestive endoscopy, which allows early and accurate diagnosis of digestive tumors, enabling their removal by endoscopy in early stages and supports artificial intelligence technologies for early cancer detection.

Meanwhile, Al-Nasr Specialty Hospital in Port Said, which received accreditation for the second time for 3 years, includes 67 beds, in addition to 7 pharmacies and 16 outpatient clinics, 5 laboratories, and is distinguished by its pathology laboratory, bone marrow donation unit, and telepathology device. Al-Nasr Specialty Hospital offers many medical services in the field of cardiology, including pediatric heart catheterization, adult heart catheterization, open-heart surgery for children, open-heart surgery for adults, pediatric surgery, in addition to operations with advanced skills such as Tavi, EVAR, CTO, IVUS, medical drill, and other advanced techniques that are performed for the first time in the governorate under the umbrella of universal health insurance.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Supervisor General of the universal health insurance and Hayat Kareema projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, referred to the total health facilities that have achieved the globally recognized national accreditation in Port Said, which reached 43 health facilities fully accredited according to the GAHAR national standards, including 8 hospitals, in addition to 35 family medicine units and centers, since the launch of the universal health insurance system in Port Said until now, expressing pride that 100% of the medical facilities affiliated with the Egypt Healthcare Authority in Port Said have achieved full accreditation according to globally recognized national standards.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky congratulated the work team at Al-Shifa Medical Complex and Al-Nasr Specialty Hospital in Port Said and everyone who contributed to passing the GAHAR national accreditation standards, recognized internationally by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), noting that both facilities provided 4 million medical services with the highest international quality standards, since the launch of the universal health insurance system in Port Said until now.
