The leadership of the EHA continues to visit health facilities to monitor the regularity of work

By the directives of Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, the Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and the supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and "Hayat Karema" projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, there is a continued emphasis on the highest level of readiness in all healthcare facilities. This includes intensified inspections of these facilities and ensuring medical care during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations in the governorates covered by the Universal Health Insurance system.

Leaders of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, led by Dr. Amir Telwany, the Executive Director, conducted an inspection visit to the healthcare facilities in Ismailia Governorate to monitor the implementation of the medical insurance plan during the Eid al-Fitr holiday and to ensure that work is proceeding smoothly.

The tour included inspections of the Ismailia Medical Complex, the June 30 International Center for Kidney and Urology Diseases, Fayed Specialty Hospital, Qassasin Specialty Hospital, and the Emergency and Specialized Surgery Hospital at Abu Khalifa.

During the inspection of the Authority's facilities in Ismailia, different hospital departments were reviewed, and the medical services provided were monitored, especially in emergency and critical care departments. The inspection also included visits to inpatient and intensive care units and a review of occupancy rates in preparation for any emergencies.

The visit also ensured the availability of all vaccines and serums, as well as essential utilities like power, water, and fuel necessary for operation, to confirm the efficiency of all medical and non-medical devices in the facilities. It aimed to guarantee sufficient quantities of medicines and supplies for the operation of emergency and reception departments during the Eid period, and to examine the application of quality policies and governance, including adherence to therapeutic protocols.

Additionally, the blood bank reserves were checked to ensure adequate supplies of blood bags and derivatives across different blood types. Internal department rounds were made to ensure the continuity of work and the accuracy of medical data collection and electronic recording. Schedules for doctors and nursing staff, especially in reception and emergency departments, were organized, aligning with the Egypt Healthcare Authority's commitment to providing all medical and therapeutic services to citizens.
