During his meeting with the World Health Organization's representative, the Egypt Health Care Authority Chief, he discussed cooperation files to enhance healthcare.

The Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority stated an agreement to collaborate with the organization in managing emergencies, crises, and disasters, enhancing the national role of the authority in providing high-level healthcare services for brethren from Gaza and hosted individuals from other countries such as Sudan in the comprehensive insurance governorates, and confirmed that more than 37% of the surgeries and medical interventions for the injured from Gaza have been carried out in the authority's hospitals.

The Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority discussed cooperation with the organization to qualify the Suez Medical Complex and several health facilities affiliated with the authority to obtain the organization's accreditation for hospitals capable of managing crises ("Hospital Resilience Accreditation"), among only 7 hospitals worldwide that have received it.

The Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority discussed cooperation with the organization in the new release of the National Health Accounts (NHA) as a strategic priority that supports the sustainability of the healthcare sector in the country and as an important tool for all decision-makers to formulate national health policies.

The Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority discussed cooperation with the organization to implement the second phase of applying clinical governance in the health facilities affiliated with the authority at all levels of healthcare according to the "Luxor Declaration."

The Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority stated that the organization is a major success partner and invited the organization's representative to visit the health facilities affiliated with the authority in the first phase governorates of the comprehensive insurance to view the operating systems and electronic work.

The representative of the World Health Organization in Egypt expressed great pride in cooperating with the Egypt Health Care Authority and emphasized the importance of cooperation to achieve shared goals in improving health services and developing the health system in Egypt and the region.

The WHO representative confirmed the importance of evaluating the experience of the first phase of implementing the comprehensive health insurance system, documenting, and publishing the Egyptian experience in health reform and comprehensive health coverage to benefit from it internationally.
