Healthcare Authority: The Conference Serves as a Platform to Exchange International Expertise with Participating Delegations at Egy Health 2024, and to Stay Updated on the Latest Developments and Global Practices in Universal Health Coverage and Building Sustainable Supply Chains
On behalf of Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, Dr. Hani Rashid, Vice Chairman of the Authority, participated in the opening ceremony of the Egypt International Health Conference and Exhibition, Egy Health 2024, which is scheduled to continue until October 12th.
A statement by the General Authority for Healthcare explained that the Authority is participating with a dedicated booth at the Egy Health exhibition and conference, showcasing the capabilities and world-class facilities of its establishments to promote the Authority's medical tourism project under the brand "We Care for You in Egypt." The booth features interactive screens that display these capabilities throughout the days of the exhibition.
Achievements and the healthcare packages offered to beneficiaries of the Universal Health Insurance, delivered with the highest quality standards, are also highlighted through interactive screens at the booth. These displays showcase the Authority's accomplishments and the use of the latest technologies in conducting surgical and advanced interventions, which have exceeded 600,000 interventions using state-of-the-art technologies. Additionally, more than 50 million medical services have been provided so far in the governorates under Universal Health Insurance.
The statement continued: Throughout the exhibition, expertise is exchanged with participating delegations from various health-related sectors across Africa and the international community through the involvement of the Authority's leadership in discussion panels held throughout the exhibition. Highlights include a session titled "Innovation in Healthcare: Addressing Challenges and Creating Opportunities," chaired by Dr. Noha El-Sanadidi, General Manager of Primary Care at the Healthcare Authority, and a session titled "Arab Healthcare: A Strategic Roadmap for the Future," represented by Dr. Wael Omran, Assistant Executive Director for Operations and Supply Affairs and General Manager of the Administrative Affairs Department at the Authority, and chaired by Dr. Nermeen Ashour, General Supervisor of Sustainability and Green Transformation Projects at the Authority.
Additionally, Dr. Amr Abdel-Nabi, Advisor to the Chairman of the Healthcare Authority for Partnerships and Business Development, and Dr. Sherif Kamal, Advisor to the Chairman for Pharmacy and Medication Affairs, participated in a discussion panel chaired by Dr. Omnia Antar, Partnerships and Business Development Officer at the Authority. The panel was titled "Building Sustainable and Resilient Healthcare Supply Chains: Localization for a Healthier Future."
