Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, highlighted El-Qassasin Specialized Hospital in Ismailia as a model of excellence in comprehensive and integrated healthcare services. The hospital recently underwent extensive development, with investments exceeding EGP 200 million, aimed at enhancing the quality of healthcare services and meeting the growing needs of citizens, in alignment with the Authority’s commitment to delivering world-class healthcare services.

New Neonatal Unit Launch

Dr. El-Sobky announced the launch of a new neonatal unit at El-Qassasin Specialized Hospital. The unit, equipped with the latest medical technologies, represents a significant advancement in newborn care services across Ismailia Governorate. This addition supports the Authority’s efforts to improve public health indicators and ensure comprehensive healthcare coverage.

Expanded Hospital Capacity

He emphasized that the hospital has seen significant capacity expansions, adding 8 new inpatient beds, bringing the total to 54 inpatient beds. It also includes 16 ICU beds, increasing the hospital’s ability to accommodate more patients and provide specialized healthcare services. The hospital features fully integrated departments, including surgical suites and a dialysis unit, ensuring holistic and high-quality healthcare for the community.

Over 300,000 Healthcare Services Delivered

Since its inception, El-Qassasin Specialized Hospital has delivered over 300,000 medical and therapeutic services to beneficiaries under the Universal Health Insurance system in Ismailia Governorate.
