Egypt Healthcare Authority: The initiative's targets were achieved through 480 mobile medical teams from family health centers and units affiliated with the Authority, which traveled across the governorates covered by universal health insurance. Chief of Egypt Healthcare Authority: During the initiative, we aimed to conduct comprehensive regular medical examinations for people with chronic diseases and the elderly to ensure their health and safety and to enable early disease detection.

Chief of Egypt Healthcare Authority appreciates the efforts of success partners and everyone who contributed to achieving the initiative's targets. He emphasizes: The strategic partnership with the private and civil sectors in mobile clinics contributed to reaching remote and border areas, including deep within Sinai.

The Egypt Healthcare Authority announced the final results of the "Ramadan with Health for Every Family" initiative, with more than 312,000 beneficiaries examined in the governorates covered by universal health insurance (Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez, Aswan). This exceeded 100% of the initiative's target that began throughout the holy month of Ramadan and continued during the days of Eid al-Fitr.

The Authority explained in its statement that the initiative targeted three main groups: hypertension patients, diabetes patients, and patients suffering from both hypertension and diabetes, across all governorates covered by the universal health insurance system. This is part of the Authority's focus on regular medical follow-up for people with chronic diseases, the elderly, people with disabilities, the financially disadvantaged, and high-risk medical cases.

The Authority continued: 480 mobile medical teams from family health units and centers in the governorates were deployed, trained to the highest standards to examine cases during the initiative's events, to perform the necessary medical procedures for patients, ensuring the widest reach and securing the well-being and safety of citizens.

The initiative also relied on mobile medical clinics that covered all areas of the governorates under the universal health insurance system, starting in South Sinai and Suez and concluding in Aswan and Luxor, conducting more than 10,000 medical examinations.

In this context, Dr. Ahmed El Sabki, Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, thanked the success partners from Pharco Pharmaceuticals and the Council of Egyptian Tribes and Families for their participation and support in deploying mobile clinics as part of the "Ramadan with Health for Every Family" initiative. This contributed significantly to reaching more citizens in remote and border areas, particularly in the depths of Sinai, expressing his satisfaction with the strategic partnership with the private and civil sectors to ensure better health for all Egyptians.

He appreciated the efforts of all medical teams involved in the initiative and everyone who played a role in the success of the initiative and its effectiveness during the holy month and the days of Eid al-Fitr, which helped reach a larger number of citizens and ensured their health and safety, providing them with quality health care according to international standards.

He emphasized the real-time evaluation of all procedures conducted within the "Ramadan with Health for Every Family" initiative in each branch of the Egypt Healthcare Authority in the governorates covered by universal health insurance, through monitoring rooms linked to the central crisis and emergency management room at the Authority's headquarters. He noted that the statistics and evaluations from the initiative are key indicators and pillars for the Authority's work in the upcoming period, supporting health maps for diseases in each governorate covered by universal health insurance.

It should be noted that the "Ramadan with Health for Every Family" initiative, launched by the Egypt Healthcare Authority for the year 2024, targeted 300,000 citizens in the six governorates covered by the universal health insurance system. The initiative aimed to enhance health and prevent chronic diseases, providing optimal and free health care to people with chronic conditions throughout the month of Ramadan. The initiative included seven additional free services, notably home medical follow-up for people with chronic diseases, activation of remote medical consultations with consultants and specialists, home delivery of chronic medications to patients, and educational and awareness campaigns for patients and their families on how to live with chronic diseases and correct health practices to prevent complications.
