Today, Al-Sabki received Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the acting Minister of Health and Population, at the Authority's Peace Hospital in Port Said, and they inspected the building of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Organizations Complex in Port Said.
The Health Care Authority indicated that during the visit, they inspected the various departments of the hospital, including (outpatient clinics, emergency, internal departments, intensive care, nurseries), in addition to inspecting the construction work and ongoing equipment at the Naval Wing building at Al-Salam Port Said Hospital, in preparation for its opening and operation to become integrated. It has many medical specialties, the most important of which are cardiac catheterization, dialysis and burns treatment.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, President of the Public Health Care Authority, stressed the importance of the Naval Pavilion building in providing more services and integrated health care for beneficiaries of comprehensive health insurance in Port Said, inside Al-Salam Hospital, one of the largest hospitals affiliated with the Authority in Port Said.
He added, that the building will include 7 floors, with a capacity of 80 internal beds, 4 operating rooms, a cardiac catheterization unit, a radiology department of all kinds, two CCU departments, an ICU with a capacity of 16 beds and its contents, a surgical care department with a capacity of 10 beds, in addition to a washing unit. Kidney with a capacity of 33 dialysis machines.
He continued: The building will also include an integrated department for the treatment of burns, equipped at the highest level to provide services and integrated health care for burn patients, as it includes internal accommodation rooms for patients, services for accommodation rooms in accordance with standards and safe health care for them, a burn operations department, in addition to a skin bank, and multiple rooms. Including "sound waves, skin sorting, freezing, skin storage, skin treatment", and the laboratory and radiology departments.
The head of the Health Care Authority pointed out that more than 850,000 medical services were provided to the beneficiaries of comprehensive health insurance at Al-Salam Hospital in Port Said, including 200,000 services in outpatient clinics, 250,000 services for emergency cases, 399,000 diagnostic tests via laboratory and x-rays, in addition to 28,685 thousand Major, minor, medium and advanced operations and surgeries, with a skill or a special nature, using the latest therapeutic technologies in accordance with international health practices.
He added that many medical services were created for the first time at Al-Salam Hospital in Port Said, including “orthopedic, joint and spine surgeries, maxillofacial, plastic surgery, blood vessels, brain and nerves, spinal deformities, and brain tumors), which ensures the provision of services and health care to insurance beneficiaries. Comprehensive health care in Port Said within the scope of the governorate and the hardship and trouble of traveling for treatment on them.
