The Egypt Healthcare Authority, chaired by Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, President of the Authority and Supervisor General of the universal health insurance and Haya Kareema projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, has showcased through an infographic the seven services provided by its initiative "Healthy Ramadan for the Whole Family" in the provinces where the universal health insurance system is implemented, including Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez, and Aswan.
According to the infographic, the Egypt Healthcare Authority offers home medical follow-up services for individuals with chronic diseases through highly trained mobile medical teams from its family medicine centers and units, covering all provinces under the universal health insurance system.
The infographic continues to outline the initiative's services, including free home delivery of medication for individuals with chronic diseases under the universal health insurance, activation of remote medical consultation services with consultants and specialists at the Authority's health facilities, and referral of medical cases to higher service levels within the health facilities when necessary. Additionally, it provides equipped mobile clinics with the latest diagnostic equipment to offer initiative services in the Canal and Upper Egypt regions.
The infographic highlights that the "Healthy Ramadan for the Whole Family" initiative also includes comprehensive medical examinations for individuals with chronic diseases under universal health insurance at the family medicine centers and units affiliated with the Egypt Healthcare Authority for free throughout Ramadan. It also launches awareness campaigns, distributing booklets, flyers, and educational materials to enhance awareness about proper health guidelines, chronic diseases, and how to prevent or mitigate their complications.
Furthermore, the infographic mentions the extension of service hours at the evening clinics of family medicine centers and hospitals affiliated with the Authority until 9 PM and hospitals until 10 PM throughout Ramadan in all provinces implementing the universal health insurance system.
