EHA: Ismailia Complex Provides 4 Million+ Services

Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority: Over 4 Million Medical and Therapeutic Services Delivered at Ismailia Medical Complex

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, announced that the Ismailia Medical Complex, a flagship facility under the Authority in Ismailia Governorate, has provided over 4 million medical and therapeutic services to beneficiaries of the Universal Health Insurance system. This milestone reflects the high level of trust citizens place in the system and the exceptional quality of the services delivered.

Dr. El-Sobky emphasized that this achievement highlights the excellence in healthcare services offered by the Complex, reinforcing its status as a comprehensive medical hub that adheres to global quality standards. The Ismailia Medical Complex serves as a model for advanced healthcare delivery, setting a benchmark for excellence in integrated medical services.

The range of services provided includes:

  • Over 1 million outpatient services
  • More than 600,000 emergency services
  • 80,000 inpatient services
  • 10,000 intensive and pediatric critical care services
  • 62,000 advanced surgeries
  • 2,700 neonatal care services in incubators

These services are part of the Authority’s efforts to deliver integrated and patient-centric healthcare that meets the diverse needs of the population.

Dr. El-Sobky further noted that the Ismailia Medical Complex has achieved accreditation from both the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR) and the Joint Commission International (JCI). This dual accreditation ensures that the healthcare services provided align with the highest global standards and positions the Complex as a pioneering institution in delivering comprehensive and high-quality medical care.

He reiterated that providing healthcare services with professionalism and quality is the cornerstone of implementing the Universal Health Insurance system. The Authority remains committed to ensuring equitable access to innovative and reliable healthcare for all citizens, fostering public health and well-being across Egypt.

Ismailia Governorate, Dr. El-Sobky highlighted, is the third governorate in the first phase of the Universal Health Insurance system, which was officially launched in the region in February 2021. The governorate continues to serve as an exemplary model in offering state-of-the-art healthcare services, reflecting the success of Egypt’s national health reform efforts.
