The Egypt Health Care Authority participated in the World Future Health Congress Africa, held under the umbrella of the Gitex Africa conference in Morocco

The Egypt Health Care Authority participated in the World Future Health Congress Africa, held under the umbrella of the Gitex Africa conference in Morocco, where it showcased the Egyptian experience in comprehensive health coverage.

The Egypt Health Care Authority also took part in meetings aimed at enhancing artificial intelligence and healthcare technology with major technology companies.

During the conference, the Authority engaged in discussion sessions to present its pioneering experience in comprehensive health coverage, genomic medicine, and the transition from technical support from international development organizations to adopting sustainable projects.

The delegation from the Egypt Health Care Authority met with the chairman of the board of the International Clinic in Marrakech, agreeing on mutual visits and the transfer of the Authority's expertise in lab coding and the development of therapeutic services.

The President of the Egypt Health Care Authority noted that the conference was a valuable opportunity to interact with senior officials and international experts, exchange ideas and experiences about the latest innovations and technologies in healthcare.

He highlighted that the conference facilitated the establishment of strategic partnerships with leading technology companies such as Oracle and Microsoft, which contribute to enhancing the use of advanced technology in improving the quality of health services provided to citizens.

On behalf of Dr. Ahmed El-Sabki, President of the Egypt Health Care Authority and Supervisor General of the Comprehensive Health Insurance and Decent Life projects, Dr. Sherif Kamal, Advisor to the President of the Health Care Authority for Pharmacy and Drug Management, and Dr. Mazen Alaa El Din, Supervisor General of Cooperation with International Development Organizations, participated in the World Future Health Congress Africa, held under the Gitex Africa conference in Morocco from May 29-31.

Gitex Africa is one of the most prominent events in the fields of technology and healthcare across the continent, bringing together senior officials, experts, and specialists from various countries. The conference aims to discuss the latest innovations, technologies, and solutions in healthcare, as well as to enhance cooperation and international partnerships to achieve sustainable development goals in the health sector.

During the conference, meetings were held with representatives from Oracle to discuss cooperation in building a complete health strategy related to data governance and various operations using the latest technology in health facility operations such as Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and warehouse management, aiming to improve the inputs and outputs of all health care operations.

The delegation also met with representatives from Microsoft to discuss the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare. The meeting explored how AI technologies could improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services provided.

As part of the conference, the delegation visited the International Clinic in Marrakech, meeting with its chairman. An agreement was made to conduct mutual visits and transfer the Authority’s expertise in lab coding, studies, and support the clinic in developing therapeutic services in cooperation with the Moroccan Ministry of Health. The meeting also emphasized enhancing international cooperation and positioning Moroccan health institutions on the global health map.

Dr. Sherif Kamal participated in a session on pharmacy and the use of genomic medicine, where he presented the leading Egyptian experience in comprehensive health coverage. He highlighted how Egypt benefits from modern technology to improve healthcare services and provide advanced treatments for patients, ensuring the provision of safe and effective medication under the comprehensive health insurance system.

Additionally, Dr. Mazen Alaa El Din participated in a session reviewing the Egyptian experience in transitioning from technical support from international development organizations to adopting sustainable projects. The session discussed enhancing sustainability in healthcare projects and relying on local resources to achieve sustainable progress and growth in the health sector.

In this context, Dr. Ahmed El-Sabki, Chairman of the Egypt Health Care Authority, stated that participating in the Gitex Africa conference is an important step to enhance Egypt's position in healthcare on the African and international levels. He mentioned that this participation provides a valuable opportunity to interact with top officials and international experts, exchange ideas and experiences about the latest innovations and technologies in healthcare.

He added that the conference allows for the building of strategic partnerships with leading technology companies such as Oracle and Microsoft, which helps enhance the use of advanced technology in improving the quality of health services provided to citizens. These partnerships support Egypt's efforts in achieving comprehensive health coverage goals and providing high-quality health services that align with international standards.
