The Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority discusses with Paxera Health, an American company, the collaboration to develop medical imaging solutions and artificial intelligence in healthcare and their application in the provinces involved in the second phase of the comprehensive insurance system.

The Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority: We aim to utilize the expertise of Paxera Health to become a strategic arm of the Authority in developing diagnostic solutions and archiving medical imaging using the latest global technologies.. and to enhance sustainable cooperation and the exchange of expertise.

The Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority: The agreement with Paxera involves establishing a system based on artificial intelligence and advanced algorithms to improve medical diagnostic processes, increase disease diagnostics' accuracy, and accelerate treatment. This includes the automated analysis of medical images, report preparation, and the effective and secure management and storage of images (ARK).

The Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority: The agreement with Paxera also includes the establishment of a VNA (Vendor Neutral Archive) system to improve the management and storage of medical images in a standardized and secure manner, enhancing the integration between medical information systems, ensuring fast and secure access to images and data, and providing an effective means for long-term medical image storage.

The Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority: We currently have over a quarter billion images in Radiology Information Systems (RIS/PACS). Artificial intelligence enables us to accurately and quickly diagnose diseases, analyze big data, predict diseases, enhance work efficiency, and improve education, training, medical research, remote diagnostics, and the genetic mapping of diseases as strategic goals of the Authority for the coming period.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, met with Dr. Mohamed Shoura, CEO of Paxera Health, and Mohamed Abdel Raboh, General Manager of Paxera Health Middle East, and Abdullah Hajjaj, Regional Sales Manager for Africa, at the Authority's headquarters in the new administrative capital.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Paxera Health to develop medical imaging and artificial intelligence solutions in healthcare and their application in the provinces of the second phase of the comprehensive insurance system.

The meeting also discussed the possibility of establishing an integrated system that supports the management and storage of medical images securely and effectively, focusing on improving healthcare quality and increasing the efficiency of medical processes.

Dr. El-Sobky added that they have agreed with Paxera to establish a system based on artificial intelligence and advanced algorithms to improve medical diagnostic processes, increase the accuracy of disease diagnostics, and speed up treatment, including the automated analysis of medical images, report preparation, and effective and secure image management and storage (ARK).

Dr. El-Sobky also mentioned that an agreement was made with Paxera to create a VNA system to improve the management and storage of medical images in a standardized and secure manner, enhancing the integration between medical information systems, ensuring fast and secure access to images and data, and providing an effective means for long-term storage of medical images.
