The General Authority for Health Care launched the second scientific day of the Al-Nasr Specialized Hospital for Children of the General Authority for Health Care, the state’s main tool in providing comprehensive health insurance services, which was held on the sidelines of the opening of the dialysis unit for children, as the first dialysis unit serving the beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system in Port Said Governorate. .
The opening came in the presence of Major General Staff of War Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, Dr. Hani Rashid, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Health Care, Dr. Amir Al-Talwani, Executive Director of the Public Authority for Health Care, Dr. Mohamed Fahim Moussa, advisor to the President of the Authority for medical and treatment care affairs, and Dr. Adel Ta’elb, director of the Authority’s branch In Port Said, in response to the children’s families and their families to receive medical service within the governorate, and in the interest of the safety and comfort of children and their families without making them travel outside the governorate.
At the beginning of the conference, Dr. Qutb El-Sayed, Director General of Al-Nasr Specialized Hospital for Children, reviewed the achievements of Al-Nasr Hospital since the start of its comprehensive health insurance system in July 2019 until now, pointing to the newly developed service packages that have been added to the service packages in the Hospitals of the Care Authority, such as beating heart surgeries and heart surgeries with technology Limited intervention and replacement surgeries for the dissected aorta and advanced and complex pediatric cardiac catheters, with the aim of serving the beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system in the governorate in particular and the canal region in general.
While he pointed to the total services provided in the hospital during this period, which included 90,722 medical services, including 72,877 medical and laboratory examinations, in addition to 15,383 emergency services. 1500 cardiac catheters were performed, and 300 open-heart surgeries were performed. The number of neonatal surgeries reached 296, as well as 366 atomic scans performed in the hospital so far.
During the conference, 6 detailed scientific lectures were given regarding the treatment of children’s kidneys and children’s tumors, methods of early detection of tumors, methods of preventing them, radiotherapy mechanisms and appropriate treatment protocols for each patient, which are consistent with the updated treatment protocols for treating oncological patients as well as protocols for treating children with kidney disease and failure The lectures also touched on the importance of presidential initiatives through which people with hepatitis C were discovered and treated, as well as early detection of breast cancer according to the Egyptian Women's Health Initiative.
Dr. Hani Rashid, Vice-President of the General Authority for Health Care, thanked the medical team that participated, through its information, efforts and extensive experience, in the second scientific conference organized by Al-Nasr Specialized Hospital for Children, allowing the transfer and exchange of experiences between the medical staff in the system. He also thanked those in charge of making this scientific conference a success. Pointing out that oncology treatment is a global challenge, and that the strategy of work within the General Authority for Health Care aims to exchange experiences and provide constantly updated scientific evidence, with the aim of early detection of diseases and then developing appropriate treatment protocols and providing medical treatment to beneficiaries.
And "Rashed" added that consultants are contracted in all specialties, especially micro-interventional specialties, for example, but not limited to "cardiology, digestive system and oncology" within all hospitals affiliated with the Health Care Authority, allowing the provision of health service of the highest quality and efficiency to the beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system.
