The Egypt Health Care Authority announced the accreditation of Ras Sudr Central Hospital in South Sinai Governorate according to the national GAHAR standards recognized by the global ISQua.

The authority noted that Ras Sudr Central Hospital in South Sinai offers a variety of medical and therapeutic packages to patients according to the latest international treatment guidelines in various specialties including internal medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, ENT, pediatrics, vascular surgery, cardiology, urology, and gynecology. The hospital is staffed by a selection of skilled doctors, consultants, specialists, and technicians to ensure the delivery of outstanding medical services according to international quality standards. It is also a major hub for medical tourism in South Sinai due to its prime location and the coastal views from the patient rooms. The hospital has received many accolades from foreign tourists, having treated individuals from over 19 countries.

The statement from the authority detailed that Ras Sudr Central Hospital has provided around 70,000 medical services since it began operating under the comprehensive health insurance system, including major, medium, and minor surgical interventions, along with radiology and laboratory services, outpatient clinics, emergency services, and dialysis. The hospital has an inpatient capacity of 46 beds, 11 intensive care beds, 9 dialysis stations, 3 operating rooms including one for emergencies, and 18 emergency beds.

The statement highlighted that there are 21 health facilities in South Sinai that have achieved GAHAR accreditation recognized internationally.
