The Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority met with representatives from Schneider Electric Egypt to discuss collaboration opportunities for implementing the latest digital solutions in energy management, automation, building management systems (BMS), and data centers in the Authority’s facilities using smart technologies like artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.
The Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority stated that an agreement was reached with Schneider Electric to organize workshops and field visits to apply and test integrated digital systems in healthcare facilities, starting with the Al-Fayrouz Medical Complex for infrastructure management, the Suez Medical Complex for improving energy efficiency, and the Port Said pharmaceutical warehouses for monitoring the condition of medicine refrigerators.
The Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority aims to sign a cooperation protocol with Schneider Electric to become a digital partner of the Authority, as part of enhancing partnerships with the private sector and encouraging investment, given that it provides more than 80% of various systems and integrates its systems with other healthcare systems.
The Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority mentioned that using these digital solutions improves operational efficiency, enhances energy management, reduces consumption and costs, enhances emergency and fault response, increases patient comfort, safety, and security, supports intelligent and continuous monitoring and analysis for decision-making and planning, and ensures resource sustainability.
The Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority continued, "We continue our efforts to complete our journey towards digital transformation to elevate all aspects of healthcare and maximize the benefits of technology and modern techniques to ensure outstanding, effective care, and enhance the patient experience in a comprehensive and sustainable manner."
Representatives from Schneider Electric in Africa and the Middle East expressed their pride in collaborating with the Egypt Health Care Authority, stating, "The Authority is making tangible progress in digital transformation, opening new horizons for the development of healthcare services."
The meeting was attended by representatives from Schneider Electric, including the Vice President for Northeast Africa and the Middle East for Building and Distribution, the Senior Director for Building and Digital Energy, the Head of Building Sector for Schneider Electric Egypt, and the Senior Sales Engineer for Building Sector, Schneider Electric Egypt. They discussed the collaboration between the Egypt Health Care Authority and Schneider Electric to provide the latest digital solutions in energy management and automation in the healthcare facilities operating under the comprehensive health insurance system, utilizing smart technologies such as AI and IoT.
