The statement from the Authority detailed that Dr. Telwany began his tour at the Hayat Porfuad Hospital, where he inspected various departments including reception, emergency, surgery, and intensive care, and gathered patient feedback to assess the quality of medical services offered to beneficiaries under the comprehensive health coverage in the province.
Dr. Telwany continued his visit by inspecting the Porfuad Second Family Medicine Unit, seeking beneficiaries' opinions on service quality and waiting times within the unit. The field visit concluded with an inspection of the workflow at the Al-Salam Hospital and the Women's Health Center. He directed a specific patient flow from the outpatient clinics to the pharmacy, aiming to facilitate beneficiaries' access to medications.
The Executive Director verified the availability of all supplies and medications across the medical facilities to ensure a strategic stock of drugs within the establishments. He also reviewed referral mechanisms within the medical facilities, emphasizing the removal of all challenges to provide outstanding medical services to beneficiaries with ease and high-quality standards. Additionally, he monitored the electronic workflow of pharmaceutical provisioning to ensure a complete electronic inventory cycle.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Supervisor General on the projects of universal health insurance and Haya Kareema at the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the goal of the field visits is to ensure discipline and quality in the workflow at all health facilities affiliated with the Authority. The visits also aim to motivate the workforce, identify any challenges they might face, and ensure their needs are met. This approach guarantees the provision of the highest level of integrated health services to all beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system, ultimately ensuring the satisfaction of both the employees and those dealing with the Egypt Healthcare Authority and its healthcare services.
Dr. Telwany was accompanied during his tour in Port Said by Dr. Mustafa Shaban, Head of the Canal Governorates Region and Supervisor General at the Port Said branch of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, Dr. Ali Johar, Director of the Technical Office for the Executive Director of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, and several leaders from the Port Said branch of the Egypt Healthcare Authority.
