The Health Care Authority indicated that during the visit, they inspected the various departments of the hospital, including outpatient clinics, emergency, operations, intensive care and nurseries, in addition to the x-ray rooms and laboratories in them, to check on the progress of work and the medical service provided in the hospital.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky added that more than 600,000 medical services were provided to beneficiaries of comprehensive health insurance at Al-Nasr Specialized Hospital in Port Said, including 90,000 emergency services, 70,000 outpatient clinics, and 435,000 diagnostic services through x-ray examination and laboratory, according to the highest international standards. for quality.
He continued, that Al-Nasr Specialized Hospital in Port Said is based on the use of the latest treatment technologies to provide medical services to patients in accordance with international medical practices, including conducting more than 5,000 catheter operations that varied between peripheral and cardiac catheters, diagnostic or therapeutic, interventional and brain, which is one of the therapeutic techniques used to treat patients with the highest International degrees of safety, security and quality.
He pointed out, for the first time, the establishment of 7 medical services in the Canal Region within the Nasr Specialized Hospital in Port Said, including the implantation and replacement of the aortic valve with the TAVI technique, the treatment of chronic obstruction of the coronary arteries with CTO technique, the treatment of arterial calcifications using a medical drill, the expansion of the arteries by IVUS, and the treatment of arterial diseases. He continued, that the success rate of cardiac operations at Al-Nasr Specialized Hospital in Port Said has exceeded 98%, noting that the hospital has been accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA), and has also received many Arab and international acclaim, including the World Bank, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the World Health Organization. It is also the hospital through which the comprehensive health insurance system was launched on November 26, 2019.
During the visit, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar commended the level of medical services provided at Al-Nasr Specialized Hospital in Port Said, the first hospital to obtain the internationally recognized degree of national accreditation from the ESCWA World Organization in accordance with the GAHAR 2021 accreditation standards, and thanked all medical and administrative staff for their keenness to do everything Efforts to provide the best service and health care for patients and their compliance with international standards.
