The General Authority for Health Care announced the achievements of the “Sharq Al-Nawadi” Family Medicine Center as the first medical center affiliated with the General Authority for Health Care in Port Said Governorate to obtain the accreditation of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, for a period of 3 years, in accordance with the updated standards issued in July 2021, which are recognized at the national level. The statement of the Health Care Authority, headed by Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Assistant Minister of Health and Population and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, stated that the “Sharq Al-Nadi” Family Medicine Center serves the residents of Qabdaya, Al-Zohour, Port Fouad, East and West Port Said areas, and more than 16 thousand are registered on it. And the authority's statement continued, "The Family Medicine Center "East of the Clubs Region" provides medical services to residents of the aforementioned areas in 7 main medical specialties, including family medicine services, dentistry, emergency, pregnancy follow-up, women, chemistry and parasites lab, and finally radiology. Since the beginning of its work under the umbrella of the new comprehensive health insurance system in September 2019 until now, 34,140 thousand frequent visitors, and a comprehensive medical examination has been conducted for more than 10 thousand citizens.
The statement continued, “Sharq Al-Nadi” Center provided more than 24,000 services in the field of family medicine, 5,110 thousand in the dental specialty, as well as 9,500 laboratory examinations and diagnostic radiology through the center, and 2,700 thousand services through family planning and emergency clinics, while it provided “Sharq Al-Nadi” Medical Center, a school examination service for 1061 students, who are applicants to enroll in the school in the first grades of primary and preparatory, and for admission to kindergarten.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Health Care, Assistant Minister of Health and Population and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, praised the efforts of all employees of the East Clubs Family Medicine Center in Port Said, and all human forces for their efforts and dedication to work to reach For this achievement, which prompted the center to be the first medical center affiliated with the General Authority for Health Care to obtain the degree of national accreditation internationally recognized by ESCWA, noting that this ensures the continuity of providing health services in it according to the highest levels of quality and excellence for the beneficiaries of the new comprehensive health insurance system, stressing That all medical facilities affiliated to the authority are on the way to achieving accreditation and meeting all registration requirements in accordance with the latest international standards in quality and safety, whether for the patient or the facility, in order for the authority to be “the future of Egypt’s health.”
The Sharq Al-Nawadi Family Medicine Center is the second medical facility affiliated to the General Authority for Health Care in Port Said Governorate, to pass the national standards for the quality of health services and be approved by the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control GAHAR according to the updated and internationally approved version of ESCWA. After the “Al-Nasr Specialized Hospital in Port Said”, the first hospital in Egypt from the governmental and private sectors to obtain the same degree of accreditation, by the “General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control” for a period of 3 years.
