Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority, Assistant Minister of Health and Population, General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, Engineer Mohamed Abdurrahman, Regional Director of the Marses Robotic Systems Company, was received to discuss ways to enhance cooperation, at the headquarters of the Authority in Nasr City.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky valued the continued and fruitful cooperation of Marseilles with Egypt Healthcare Authority to develop and improve the efficient delivery of health-care services to users of the Universal Health Insurance system, using smart robots, as well as medical insurance for important events and conferences, notably the medical insurance for last November Sharm el-Sheikh Climate Conference.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation with Marses to maximize the use of technology in the automation of robotic and intelligent operations for the management of the "entry and distribution" cycle of medicines in the health facilities of the Authority in the governorates of the health insurance industry, thereby ensuring optimal distribution of medicines and making them more accessible to patients, while at the same time reducing the operational burden of the pharmaceutical forces within the various departments of the health facilities, particularly outpatient clinics, and maximizing the use of their role in the health facilities of the Authority.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky pointed out that this meeting was part of the Commission strategy to use new methods to improve the efficiency and quality of work performance, the most important of which were artificial intelligence and smart robots, to remain competitive in the health-care market at all local, regional and international levels, noting that these techniques make service delivery more efficient, accurate and flexible, and help human forces quickly perform tasks and save time to focus on their areas of expertise and carry out creative and value-added work, as well as enable better decisions to be made with the help of artificial intelligence through more analytical and in-depth information.
He continued: Automation of operations for the management of the "entry and distribution" cycle within the Authority's health facilities helps to carry out the work more quickly and to shorten the steps, through the optimal use of modern technology such as artificial intelligence and the reduction of human errors, common or wasteful, leading to the automation of the management of the drug cycle that enhances the quality of service delivery and the concept of green transformation of health care, innovation and sustainability, and indicating that it is a step in the Agency's strategy to ensure an integrated drug system within its health facilities.
We are moving forward with the launching of innovative health services and a number of pilot projects and initiatives, based on the use of technology and the updating of the digitization of services, the implementation of artificial intelligence systems, which enable future health services of the Authority to introduce smart and robotic systems, promote e-health practices and telecommunication medicine, and continue to strengthen the organization position and leadership globally in areas specializing in medicine and health care, employ advanced technology to improve the quality of life and sustainability of health services and promote the achievement of the overall sustainable development goals of Egypt Vision 2030.
For his part, the engineer, Mohamed Abdurrahman, Regional Director of Marseilles, was pleased to cooperate with Egypt Healthcare Authority, the Egyptian State arm in providing an advanced model of health care for the users of universal health insurance, and with universal standards. He noted the importance of using advanced programming and techniques to support all sectors in general, and the medical sector in particular, and the possibility for robots to carry out a large number of activities quickly, in large quantities, without human resources and with great precision. He stressed the importance of concerted efforts and collaboration by all concerned to develop health-care services in Egypt and to promote digital health practices, in the light of the implementation of the comprehensive and sustainable development goals of Egypt Vision 2030.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Hamad, Director-General of the General Department of the Technical Office of the Chairman of the Authority, Dr. Amr Abd-elanby, Adviser to the Chairman of the Authority for Partnerships and Business Development, Dr. Gada Shakir, Member of the General Department of the Technical Office of the Chairman of the Authority, and Dr. Joshua Juda, Member of the General Department of the Technical Office of the Chairman of the Authority.
