The Chairman of EHA discusses cooperation with the Rwandan Ambassador in Cairo in the fields of health care, promoting medical tourism

Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority: The meeting is an important step in building bridges of cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations between Egypt and Rwanda in the fields of health care. Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and Hayah Kareema projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, met with Ambassador Dan Munyuza, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda in Cairo, to discuss strengthening joint cooperation between the two countries and exchanging experiences and knowledge in the fields of health care, at the main headquarters. During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky reviewed the pioneering Egyptian experience in health reform and Universal health coverage for citizens, and the efforts of Egypt Healthcare Authority in controlling and organizing the provision of integrated health care services to service users, improving the infrastructure and information of health facilities, high-level medical and non-medical equipment, and hotel services for facilities. Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky pointed out that opportunities for possible cooperation and exchange of experiences were discussed between Egypt and Rwanda in various fields of health care, and ways to enhance medical tourism through Egypt Healthcare Authority providing high-quality medical services to patients coming from Rwanda who wish to receive treatment in Egypt.
