Coinciding with the 4th anniversary of the official inauguration of the comprehensive health coverage system by His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in Port Said Governorate on November 26, 2019.
The General Authority for Health Care announces the launch of the authority’s fourth annual forum, under the slogan “The Future of Healthcare in the New Republic: From Reform to Excellence,” in the New Administrative Capital, on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
The Health Care Authority indicated that the fourth annual forum will be launched under the patronage of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Professor Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and with the participation of a number of ministers, governors, ambassadors of some countries, and partners for the success of the system from all ministries, agencies and state agencies, in addition to many prominent figures and investors. In the health sector at the local and international levels, as well as a number of heads of health authorities in a number of Arab and foreign countries.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, appreciated the patronage of Professor Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, His Excellency the Prime Minister, for the Authority’s fourth annual forum, pointing to the close follow-up by the Council of Ministers to accelerate the pace of insurance implementation. Comprehensive health care, and its extension to all governorates of the Republic, in implementation of the mandates of the political leadership by 2030, to ensure the provision of comprehensive health coverage for all Egyptians with world-class quality.
Al-Sobki added that the fourth annual forum of the Healthcare Authority aims to shed light on the future of health care in Egypt, and celebrate the achievements and successes achieved by the Healthcare Authority over the past 4 years, starting with the development and innovation of medical and therapeutic services, mechanization and digital transformation of services, and qualifying health facilities for registration. Accreditation, human resources training, improving patient experience, applying governance and clinical pharmacy concepts, promoting green transformation, developing medical tourism, etc., in addition to providing the best successful experiences and practices and inspiring models to achieve excellence in health care.
Al-Sobki continued: Within the framework of the forum, specialized sessions will be held covering various areas such as improving access to health care, developing medical technology and using artificial intelligence, promoting value-based health care, promoting green transformation, quality and safety, and achieving excellence in health care, and will bring together many... Experts and specialists in the field of healthcare, who will provide exciting discussions and interactive working sessions aimed at exchanging knowledge and experiences, discussing current and future challenges and developments, and enhancing cooperation.
Al-Sobki pointed out that health care work icons will be honored at the forum, and the winners of the authority’s employees will be honored in the forum’s annual competition for their strenuous efforts that contributed to achieving the authority’s achievements and enhancing its leadership in the field of health care in the Arab, African and global regions, in addition to honoring Success partners of the Public Authority for Healthcare in all governmental, private and civil sectors.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki stressed that this forum reflects the commitment of the General Health Care Authority to improve the health care system in Egypt, achieve high levels of excellence and quality, promote comprehensive and innovative health care, and encourage all actors in the health sector to move forward towards strengthening cooperation and partnerships with the concerned authorities to achieve Excellence and sustainable progress, within the framework of the commitment to strengthen and improve the healthcare system in Egypt in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Al-Sobki noted that on the sidelines of the forum, a group of training workshops will be organized for workers in the Authority’s health facilities in the governorates in various medical, administrative, technical, and many other specialties, in order to provide them with more professional, scientific, and technological skills to develop their capabilities and ensure quality service.
