The Board of Directors of Egypt Healthcare Authority, headed by Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Board, Assistant Minister of Health and Population and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme, congratulated His Excellency President Abd El fattah al-Sisi, President of the Republic, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Matboli, H.E. Prime Minister, and Prof. Dr. Khaled Abd El gfar, Minister of Health and Population, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the 30 June Revolution.
He expressed his sincere wishes that the coming period would see further achievements and achievements based on this great revolution, which would contribute to the strengthening of the confidence of the Egyptian people in their great State, as well as to the consolidation of Egypt s universal standing among all the nations of the world.

This was the case during the periodic meeting of the Board of Directors of Egypt Healthcare Authority, No. 62, which was held at the headquarters of the Authority in the administrative capital, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, to discuss the most important issues relating to proposals for the development of work, policies and future plans to ensure the continuity of control and regulation of the provision of health care services to the beneficiaries of universal health insurance with universal professionalism and quality.
The meeting discussed the proposal to amend the regulations on medical and health-care contracts concluded by Egypt Healthcare Authority in its medical and health facilities in the departments of comprehensive health insurance, in order to provide the most efficient and quality medical and treatment services to users of the system s services. The Board agreed to increase the contract values for medical staff in the health facilities of the Authority in accordance with the proposed regulations on medical treatments as amended, in the light of the inflation that had occurred and in line with the directives of the political leadership to improve the conditions of the medical staff and to continuously develop the working environment for them.
The meeting reviewed the receipt of therapeutic assets in the governorates of Aswan and Suez in the first phase of the comprehensive health insurance system. The Board of Directors of the Authority approved the receipt of 90 therapeutic plants in Aswan governorate, as well as 26 therapeutic plants in Suez governorate, in implementation of the Prime Minister s Decision No. 4236 of 2022, approving the transfer of a number of health facilities from its various government agencies to the Public Health Care Authority, as part of the implementation of the comprehensive health insurance system in the two governorates and in preparation for the formal operation of the system.
During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky directed the development of a proposal for a new general wage structure for the Authority s employees, branches and health facilities, in coordination with the relevant authorities and medical professional unions, stressing the need to link the implementation of the new wage system within a framework of governance based on productivity to ensure that the vision and objectives of the Authority towards the development and improvement of the working environment of health service providers are achieved and that this has positive implications for the provision of the best service and health care to citizens.
The meeting discussed the proposal for a regulation on the prices of medical services for incoming patients and therapeutic tourism at the health facilities of the General Authority for Health Care in the departments of comprehensive health insurance under the project of the Medical Tourism Care Authority in Egypt, where the Council approved the adoption of the regulation and the issuance of the implementing decree.
During the meeting, the Board of Directors of the Authority approved the approval of the conditions for admission and study expenses of the technical care institutes for nursing of the Welfare Authority for the next school year. It also approved an exceptional grant for the family of the deceased nurse, Esra Ahmed Awadei, a member of the nursing staff of the Life Hospital in Port-Foad, Port Said, who died from a cerebral clot at the University Hospital in Dimiat, in recognition of the fact that she was given to Egypt Healthcare Authority. This was in response to the request of the nursing union represented by Dr. Kother Mahmud, the general nurse s captain, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Authority, with the approval of the results of the investigation received into the death of the nurse, which was commissioned by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority.
It should be noted that the meeting of the Board of Directors of Egypt Healthcare Authority No. 62 brought together Dr. Hussein Khairi, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ihab Hekal, Chief Dental Officer, Dr. Sami Saad, General physiotherapist, Dr. Kother Mahmud, General Nurse and Senator, Dr. Fared Mahram, Expert on Health Cost Accounting and Economic Adviser to the Board, Dr. Ibrahim Fakhr, Member of Civil Society, Expert of the Department of Health Care, and Dr. Wael Abd El al, Member of Civil Society, Expert of the Department of Health Care.
