The head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority is working with the Ambassador of Brazil to promote cooperation in the areas of health care, exchange of medical, technological and scientific expertise, and access to new markets in therapeutic tourism.

The head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority is working with the Ambassador of Brazil to cooperate in the exchange of knowledge in the establishment of a system of scientific studies and research to promote scientific progress in health care. The President of the Egypt Healthcare Authority stresses the importance of building strategic partnerships with Brazil as a fruitful model of cooperation with Egypt in all areas. He states: We look forward to next year commemoration of the centenary of the founding of Egyptian-Brazilian relations.

The President of the Egypt Healthcare Authority invites the Ambassador of Brazil to visit the health facilities of the Authority and to participate in the forthcoming International Conference on Remedial Tourism in Sharm el-Sheikh. The Ambassador welcomes and confirms: the coming period will see further cooperation in the areas of health care between the two countries.

Brazil Ambassador to Cairo applauds Egypt significant progress in the health sector and emphasizes: it has become a global destination in health care, therapeutic tourism and investment.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, President of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and Decent Life Projects of the Ministry of Health and Population, received Mr. Paulino Franco de Carvalio Netto, Ambassador of Brazil to Cairo, and Mr. Fernando Pastos, Second Secretary of the Embassy, at the headquarters of the Egypt Healthcare Authority.

This coincided with Egypt invitation to join the BRICS group as of January 2024, and the Egypt Healthcare Authority and the Brazilian Embassy are looking forward to fruitful cooperation between the two countries, which will benefit both friendly countries and their peoples.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky welcomed Ambassador Paulino Franco to congratulate him on his assumption of the post of Ambassador of Brazil at the beginning of August of this year. He also thanked and appreciated the fact that the Egypt Healthcare Authority considered his first visit to Egyptian government authorities after assuming that post, which demonstrated the importance of the Universal health insurance system in Egypt and the positive impact it had had on Universal health reform, under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sessi of the Republic, and the strengthening of Egypt international leadership.

The meeting discussed the strengthening of cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the areas of health care between Egypt and Brazil. During the meeting, the focus was on discussing the signing of a memorandum of understanding for the exchange of experiences with regard to the latest medical techniques and practices to enhance efficiency and improve the quality of health care, the strengthening of cooperation in the area of primary health care in society, as well as the use of experiences and experiences in the model of partnership between the State and private sectors of the Brazilian State, and therapeutic tourism.

The meeting emphasized the importance of exchanging advanced medical expertise and technology and of developing joint training programs in various fields, such as medical training and various health disciplines, with a view to strengthening medical skills, as well as the exchange of visits and experiences between medical consultants and health personnel in both countries, as well as the exchange of knowledge in the establishment of a system of scientific studies, research and discoveries to promote scientific progress in health care.

During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky stressed the importance of Egypt surge in the health-care sector, reviewing the new Egyptian health system and the governance of the health system, which opened up new prospects for international cooperation, investment and leadership. He referred to the role of the Egypt Healthcare Authority in strengthening the sector through the development of infrastructure and information for health facilities, mechanization and the digital transformation of services, the rehabilitation of health facilities for national and international registration and accreditation, and the provision of high-quality medical services.

This meeting is in the context of the ongoing efforts of the Egypt Healthcare Authority to promote health care and to achieve progress in this vital sector, emphasizing the importance of building strategic partnerships between Egypt and Brazil in the field of health care, noting that Egypt and Brazil are a fruitful model of relations in all areas, saying that "We look forward to next year's celebration on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of Egyptian-Brazilian relations." We are moving forward to strengthen international cooperation with all countries in the various areas of health care for development and innovation, thus supporting our vision of providing an advanced model of health care as Egypt's health future, and of achieving sustainable health progress in line with Egypt's vision of Universal sustainable development 2030.

The Ambassador of Brazil, for his part, commended Egypt for the significant progress made in the field of health care. He stressed Brazil readiness to contribute to that development and to strengthen health cooperation with Egypt. He also took advantage of the successful experiences and practices achieved in the Egyptian health sector. He expressed Brazil readiness to exchange and transfer experiences in areas such as the development of health technology, the development of training programs and the exchange of knowledge in practical research systems and therapeutic tourism. He also commended the great support given to the health file by the Egyptian political leadership, which had made Egypt a global destination for medical care, therapeutic tourism and health investments.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. El-Sobky, Ambassador Paulino Franco of Brazil to Cairo, invited Mr. Paulino Franco to visit the health facilities of the Authority in the governorates of the Universal health insurance "port said, Ismailia, Luxor, South Sinai, Aswan and Suez" to explore opportunities for cooperation, referring to the centers of excellence for treatment within these institutions. He also invited him to attend the forthcoming International Conference on Health and Treatment Tourism, to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh next November, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sessi. The Ambassador welcomed the invitations, expressing his constant interest in cooperating with the Egyptian State and noting that the next period would see further cooperation in the areas of health care between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by the Egypt Healthcare Authority, a number of the Authority leaders, as well as a number of departmental directors and general supervisors of the Authority cooperation and external relations file.
