The Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority stresses the importance of settling the pharmaceutical industry as a "strategic objective of the State" and of moving towards green pharmaceutical care to improve human health, the environment and society "in implementation of the recommendations of the Climate Conference (COP27)."
The head of Egypt Healthcare Authority congratulates Sanofi for her 60 years in Egypt. It confirms: we look forward to the construction of medical innovation and research centers in the pharmaceutical fields and to Egypt becoming a center for Sanofi on the African continent.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, President of the Health Care Authority, Assistant Minister of Health and Population, General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, attended the 60-year ceremony of the Sanofi Company in Egypt in the presence of a number of senior officials from leading government and private health agencies and successful partners in Egypt health sector.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky congratulated Sanofi Company for 60 years for its presence in Egypt, paying tribute to its role in raising the level of service provided to the Egyptian patient through the production of special medicines for diabetes, heart, blood vessels, tumors, immunity, multiple insolence, rare diseases and vaccines, and the commitment to the application of the highest standards of manufacturing, safety and global quality, thus contributing to the development and improvement of the lives of patients and the improvement of the health-care system in the State, as well as the company community participation in many health initiatives to achieve its strategic objectives, consistent with Egypt vision of providing safe health care to citizens and maintaining the public health of individuals.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky referred to a joint collaboration between Egypt Healthcare Authority and the Sanofi Company to launch an application for the care of patients with ACTs, which works with artificial intelligence. He noted the direction of the Egyptian State in strengthening partnerships with the private sector as a key partner in the development of various sectors in Egypt, most notably the health-care sector, and that it is the approach taken by Egypt Healthcare Authority to achieve its strategic objectives of opening up to the exchange of experiences, taking advantage of all successful experiences and strengthening cooperation to provide an advanced model of health care in Egypt with global standards.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky stressed that the Egyptian State encourages investment in the pharmaceutical sector of national and foreign companies, noting that universal health insurance supports innovation and competitiveness in providing the best treatments for Egyptians, and pointed to the importance of settling the pharmaceutical industry as a strategic objective of the State to ensure that patients have access to safe, effective and affordable medicines at the lowest possible cost, placing Egypt among the major and advanced countries in the pharmaceutical industries and encouraging and attracting investments in pharmaceutical manufacturing in Egypt.
Noting the importance of moving towards safe and sustainable green pharmaceutical care through the application of environmentally friendly practices in all aspects of pharmaceutical work aimed at improving human health, the environment and society and promoting the implementation of the recommendations of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), he said that Egypt had attractive investment tools in the pharmaceutical sector and looked forward to building centers for Sanofi to promote medical innovation and research in the pharmaceutical fields, and that Egypt should become a center for Sanofi on the African continent.
