Recognize the achievements of technical care institutes for nursing in the departments of universal health insurance

Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority: Technical care institutes for nursing will be extended to cover all governorates of the Republic in conjunction with the phased implementation of the Universal Health Insurance system. 

Egypt Healthcare Authority has announced the achievements of technical care institutes for nursing in the five-year system, in the three governorates of the Universal Health Insurance.

According to the Authority, the technical nursing care institutes of the Egypt Healthcare Authority in the governorates of the Universal Health Insurance include eight institutes distributed in the three governorates of Port Said, Luxor, the Ismailia, and 1450 students in the five school years.

It continued: the eight institutes of Egypt Healthcare Authority include three in Port Said governorate, namely, El mabrah, Salam, Port Fouad, and four in Luxor governorate, namely, Karnak International Institutes, Horus, Isis and the Technical Care Institute for Nursing in Fayed, Ismailia governorate.

The Commission statement added that a uniform for female students and students had been consolidated and that a module had been developed for them in all technical care institutions for nursing in the three governorates, with a view to improving the public image and in line with the new visual identity of the Commission. In addition, the uniforms for teaching staff at the level of the three governorates had been standardized. 

For its part, Dr. Brennan pointed out...At present, the nursing system within the new Universal Health Insurance system is experiencing a major breakthrough, both at the school level and in practice at the health facilities of the new system.

Noting the importance of involving students in all student activities and enhancing their role in the educational process, through participation in various educational and educational activities, adopted by technical care institutes for nursing through the first student competitions held at the governorate level to promote scientific excellence, and strengthening the spirit of competition based on integrity and objectivity among students, thereby helping to graduate outstanding payments in nursing service and at the highest level of scientific and cultural knowledge,

The general nurse supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance System (CHIS) drew attention to the strengthening of the community participation of students of technical care institutes for nursing by involving them in community service campaigns in the departments of the Comprehensive Health Insurance, such as vaccination campaigns and continuous visits to orphanages and the elderly, as well as participation in the celebrations of the concerned.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, Assistant Minister of Health and Population and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, confirmed that the Authority was seeking to create a true model of Egyptian nursing capable of performing a quality service for patients who benefited from the new system. The institutes would not only be in the three governorates but would also be extended to all governorates of the Republic in conjunction with the phased implementation of the Universal Health Insurance and the time plan drawn up by the Egyptian Government.

Referring to the qualitative shift in the universal health insurance nursing system to strengthen the health system capabilities, based on governance, quality and innovation, which supports alignment with future instruments to anticipate variables, sustain delivery and improve nursing performance levels, he noted that for a better future industry, the capacity of medical and nursing staff capable of building inclusive development must be strengthened.

It is indicated that the duration of the study at technical care institutes for nursing is five years of schooling, and that the applicant must be of Egyptian nationality, good conduct and a certificate of completion at the preparatory stage of basic education must be obtained in the same year of progress. Technical care institutes for nursing must be accepted in accordance with the highest advanced totals, while the minimum shall be established after the completion of the coordination work. The number of students admitted to the same class ranges from 25 to 30. The applicant must be a member of the same governorate from which he received the certificate of basic education. The applicants must pass multiple tests in Arabic, computer and English as well as the students must attend the English-language school, as well as medical screening by the medical committees of the Public Egypt Healthcare Authority, which includes an examination, an in-house examination, an examination of the medical fitness of the job, as well as a test of the body  detection, which includes personal testing, a test of abilities, a psychological test, a test of the power of observation, and communication skills.
