The head of the Egypt HealthCare Authority is working with the Ambassador of Australia and the Executive Director of the ACHS International Group to collaborate in the transfer of expertise in the areas of strengthening the quality of clinical care and patient safety

Head of the Egypt HealthCare Authority: We are considering signing a memorandum of understanding with ACHS International to grant education missions to health personnel to develop Healthcare at the Authority hospitals, exchange experiences and provide therapeutic tourism services

Chairman of the Egypt HealthCare Authority: We are studying a twinning program with Sydney Children Hospital in Australia to continuously upgrade health services at the Authority hospitals and specialized child treatment departments

Australia Ambassador to Cairo commends the progress of health in Egypt and expresses its desire to strengthen health cooperation between the two countries and commends the efforts of the Welfare Authority to strengthen relations to strengthen Egypt leadership on the global map.

ACHS International Executive Director: Pleasure meeting with the Egypt HealthCare Authority on my first visit to Egypt. I was pleased to see an unprecedented qualitative breakthrough in Egypt's Healthcare sector. It confirms the Group readiness to strengthen health cooperation with the Authority in the coming period.

Executive Director, ACHS International Group: In cooperation with the Egypt HealthCare Authority Suez Medical Complex and Medical Recovery Complex to transfer expertise in medical work manuals and clinical quality indicators between Egypt and Australia.

Dr. Ahmed El-sobky, Chairman of the Egypt HealthCare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and Decent Life Projects of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Axl and Benhurst, Ambassador of Australia to Cairo, Dr. Louise Kaskele, Executive Director of the ACHS International Group, and Dr. Ayatollah Amr Shabana, Quality Manager of the Saudi Treatment Group, were received at the headquarters of the Egypt HealthCare Authority in Cairo.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and Australia in the areas of Healthcare and exchange of experience and knowledge. The areas of improving the quality of health-care services and enhancing patient safety were addressed, health-service providers working in health-care facilities of the Health-care Authority were trained through grants and educational missions to Australia, and opportunities for cooperation in therapeutic tourism were also explored and experiences and knowledge were shared.

The meeting discussed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Egypt HealthCare Authority and the ACHS International Group in these areas, and also discussed the work of a twinning program between hospitals, the Child Treatment Sections of the Public Egypt HealthCare Authority and the Sydney Children Hospital in Australia, to provide distinct health services of similar global quality.

Dr. Ahmed El-sobky expressed his pleasure at the meeting, reviewing the developments in the health-care system and Universal health coverage in Egypt, the qualitative surge in the Egyptian health-care sector under His Excellency President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi, which had recently been reviewed at the "Sight and Achievement" national conference. He also referred to Egypt's achievements in implementing the Universal health coverage and integrated Healthcare system in the governorates of Port Said, Luxor, Ismaili, South Sinai, Aswan and Suez, and the readiness to implement the second phase of Universal health coverage to the rest of the Republic, following the highest global quality standards.

He emphasized that Egypt HealthCare Authority aimed to achieve a Universal development in the health-care sector and to provide high-quality services to citizens, noting that by strengthening health cooperation with other States such as Australia, Egypt would be able to benefit from global expertise and practices in this area, strengthen its national health-care delivery capacity and enhance its position on the global map.

For his part, the Ambassador of Australia to Cairo expressed his pleasure at the meeting and his enthusiasm for strengthening health cooperation between the two countries in several areas, the most important of which were program to improve quality in Healthcare, training and continuing medical education, among many others. The Australian Ambassador also commended the efforts of the Egypt HealthCare Authority to strengthen cooperation with various actors for the continued upgrading of the Healthcare sector in Egypt, emphasizing that the meeting would strengthen relations between Egypt and Australia in various areas of Healthcare.

The Executive Director of ACHS International expressed her pleasure and looked forward to cooperating with the Egypt HealthCare Authority, noting that this was her first meeting during her first visit to Egypt, and she was pleased with the unprecedented qualitative surge in the Egyptian health sector, the mechanization and digital transformation of services at the health facilities of the Egypt HealthCare Authority in the governorates of Universal health insurance, the promotion of the value-based principle of Healthcare with a global perspective, the application of clinical governance concepts, and the adoption of the concepts of clinical centers of excellence to provide more specialized Healthcare to patients.

The Executive Director of ACHS International confirmed the Group full readiness to strengthen cooperation in Healthcare with the Egypt HealthCare Authority in the coming period, noting that it was collaborating with the Suez Medical Complex and the Egypt HealthCare Authority Medical Remediation Complex in Suez and Pursed Provinces, respectively, to transfer expertise in medical work manuals and clinical quality indicators between Egypt and Australia.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-sobky invited the Ambassador of Australia to Cairo, the Executive Director of the ACHS International Group and the Quality Manager of the Saudi Arabian Treatment Group to attend the fourth annual meeting of the Egypt HealthCare Authority, scheduled for the end of November, to highlight the achievements of the Authority and its leadership in Healthcare at all international, regional and local levels, to strengthen Egypt position in this vital sector and to place it on the global map, welcoming the invitation and participation in the Forum, and wishing the Authority further to achieve achievements and successes in the Healthcare sector at all levels.

The meeting was attended by the Egypt Healthcare Authority, a number of the Authority leaders, as well as departmental directors and general supervisors on international cooperation and external relations, partnerships and business development, information and the realization of the Authority vision.
