Egypt Health Care Authority announces the success of the accreditation of Al-Qassasin Specialized Hospital in Ismailia Governorate in accordance with the national accreditation standards GAHAR

The Chairman of the Egypt Health Care Authority, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, highly values the intensive and ongoing oversight by the Cabinet on the activities of the entities involved in the Universal Health Insurance project, guided by the political leadership to ensure the project is accomplished at the highest level. He affirmed that this prudent oversight has significantly enhanced the capability to deliver exceptional health services to citizens.

Dr. El-Sobky reported that over 200,000 medical services have been provided by the El-Qassasin Specialty Hospital in the eight months since its operation under the Universal Health Insurance system in Ismailia Governorate. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical interventions and various treatment packages in line with the latest updated treatment protocols.

Dr. El-Sobky praised the efforts of the team at El-Qassasin Specialty Hospital and everyone involved in achieving the national accreditation recognized internationally.

He expressed pride in the accreditation of 45 facilities under the authority in Ismailia Governorate, which represents 96% of the authority's facilities in the governorate, according to various accreditation levels.

The General Authority for Health Care announced the accreditation of El-Qassasin Specialty Hospital in Ismailia Governorate according to the national GAHAR standards recognized by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua). The hospital provides numerous medical and treatment packages to patients following the latest international treatment guidelines in various specialties, including internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, vascular surgery, nephrology, and anesthesia, by a team of skilled doctors, consultants, specialists, and technicians to ensure high-quality medical services.

The statement from the authority noted that El-Qassasin Specialty Hospital has provided more than 200,000 medical services since its incorporation into the Universal Health Insurance system, including major, medium, and minor surgical interventions, specialized surgeries, radiology services, laboratory services, outpatient clinics, emergency services, dialysis, and intensive care services. The hospital has a capacity of 16 inpatient beds, 16 intensive care beds, 12 incubators, 17 dialysis machines, three operating rooms, and a natural birth booth.

Dr. El-Sobky highlighted the total number of health facilities in Ismailia Governorate that have achieved national accreditation recognized globally, with 45 health facilities accredited either fully or preliminarily according to GAHAR standards, including 28 fully accredited and 17 preliminarily accredited facilities pending full accreditation.

Dr. El-Sobky congratulated the staff at El-Qassasin Specialty Hospital, appreciating the efforts of everyone who contributed to meeting the GAHAR accreditation standards, recognized internationally by ISQua, and expressed his pride in the 96% of the authority’s facilities in Ismailia Governorate achieving various levels of accreditation.
