Following their meeting in South Sinai, Dr. Ahmed El-Sabki, Chairman of the Egypt Health Care Authority, welcomed Dr. Ashraf Hatem, Chairman of the Health Committee of the House of Representatives, for an inspection visit to Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital managed by the Authority in South Sinai.
The Chairman of the Health Committee in the House of Representatives solicited citizens' opinions about the services provided by the Health Care Authority and ensured the implementation of mechanization and the unified electronic health record system as part of the Authority’s digital health system.
The Chairman also listened to praises from foreign patients coming as part of the "We Care for You in Egypt" medical tourism project to receive healthcare at Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital and emphasized the importance of this project within the presidential directives. An Italian tourist praised the level of medical care at the hospital, saying, "The level of medical service in Egypt is faster than in her country."
Dr. El-Sabki mentioned that the visit included the hospital's command and control room as part of the implementation of the National Public Safety Network in South Sinai. The visiting Health Committee delegation from the House of Representatives praised the quick response and crisis management using the latest communication and technological equipment, ensuring rapid and professional handling of emergencies and crises.
Dr. El-Sabki stated that the visit covered various departments, including emergencies and inpatient departments at Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital, examining both the medical and non-medical equipment, and the mechanization and digital transformation of services. They also gathered opinions from citizens and medical tourists about the services provided.
Dr. El-Sabki emphasized that Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital is a significant medical institution nationally and internationally accredited according to JCI standards, equipped to offer numerous medical and therapeutic services to beneficiaries of the comprehensive insurance system and international patients according to the latest global standards and practices.
The Chairman and members of the Health Committee in the House of Representatives noted that the comprehensive health insurance system has significantly improved the healthcare services system provided to the citizens of Sinai, reflecting the state's commitment to enhancing healthcare quality at the highest levels of excellence.
The President of the General Authority for Health Care Accreditation and Monitoring confirmed the high quality of medical services at Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital, which has received national accreditation, and praised the experience and competence of the medical and nursing staff for their professional handling of international patients.
