The head of the Healthcare Authority has issued a widespread movement of transfers and appointments within the authority's leadership to inject new blood and achieve further accomplishments.
The head of the Healthcare Authority stated that the new appointments included assigning three new assistants to the Executive Director, "Mohamed Al-Akkad," for branch affairs and service development, "Mahmoud El-Deeb" for planning and health mapping, and "Ali Johar" for monitoring and communication, along with renewing the appointments of other assistants.
The Healthcare Authority renewed the appointment of "Hisham Shendi" as an assistant to the Executive Director for digital health, "Wael Omran" for operations and supply, "Sherif Bilal" for engineering affairs and projects, and "Gamal Ratba" as the head of the Central Administration for Institutional Support Services.
The Healthcare Authority has appointed "Sally Abdel Raouf" as the head of the Central Administration for Healthcare and Therapeutic Care, "Ahmed El-Barai" as the head of the Upper Egypt region and the general supervisor of the Luxor branch, and renewed the appointment of "Mostafa Shaaban" as the head of the Canal region and the general supervisor of the Port Said branch.
"Ashraf Abdel Latif" has been appointed as the director of the Authority's branch in Aswan, with "Mohamed Sami" renewed as the director of the Ismailia branch, "Ayman Rukha" as the director of the South Sinai branch, and "Ismail El-Hafnawy" as the director of the Suez branch.
The Healthcare Authority has appointed "Mustafa Ghoneima" as the director of the Suez Medical Complex in Suez and as a consultant for institutional transformation, "Mohamed Al-Akabi" as the director of the Luxor International Medical Complex in Luxor, "Tarek Abdel Moez" as the director of the Ismailia Medical Complex in Ismailia, and "Hussein Jamal El-Din" as the director of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Port Said.
The movement included infusing new young blood, promoting new leadership, and leveraging the private sector's expertise. It also involved appointing a head for the Upper Egypt region in preparation for the second phase of implementing the Universal Health Insurance system.
The Healthcare Authority is emphasizing the promotion of young talents and competencies, stressing that fair evaluation based on achieving targets and the accuracy of task execution is the foundation for promotion.
Empowering women and youth in the movement, for the first time, assistants have been appointed for all general managers to ensure the training of the second and third tiers of the cadre.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, the head of the Healthcare Authority and the supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and "Hayat Karema" projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, issued a new decree to conduct a widespread movement of transfers and appointments in the senior leadership and administrative positions within the authority, aiming to inject new blood for more achievements. The decree carried number (8) for the year 2024.
According to the decree, three new assistants were appointed for the Executive Director of the Authority: Dr. Ali Johar as an assistant for monitoring and communication, Dr. Mahmoud El-Deeb as an assistant for planning and health mapping, and Dr. Mohamed Al-Akkad as an assistant for branch affairs and service development, in addition to their original roles. This was alongside the renewal of appointments for the former assistants of the Executive Director: Dr. Wael Omran as the assistant for operations and supply, Major Engineer Hisham Shendi as the assistant for digital health and telemedicine, and Major Engineer Sherif Bilal as the assistant for engineering affairs and projects.
The movement also involved appointing Dr. Sally Abdel Raouf to oversee the Central Administration for Healthcare and Therapeutic Care, renewing the appointment of Dr. Gamal Ratba to head the Central Administration for Institutional Support Services, and for the first time, appointing a head for the Upper Egypt region, Dr. Ahmed El-Barai, in preparation for the Upper Egypt governorates in the second phase. The decree also renewed the appointment of Dr. Mostafa Shaaban to oversee the Port Said branch and serve as the head of the Canal region in addition to his original role.
The decree included appointments across various leadership and administrative levels within the Authority, emphasizing the infusion of new young talent, leveraging private sector expertise, and preparing for the upcoming phase of implementing the Universal Health Insurance system.
Dr. El-Sobky highlighted the movement's focus on promoting young talents and competencies, stressing fair evaluation based on achieving targets and executing tasks as the basis for promotion. He emphasized the empowerment of women and youth in the movement and the importance of training the second and third tiers of cadre, marking a significant step towards developing a more advanced and innovative healthcare system in Egypt.
