The Egypt Health Care Authority has signed a cooperation protocol with Banque Misr

The Egypt Health Care Authority has signed a cooperation protocol with Banque Misr, focusing on the systems of electronic payment, collection, and electronic banking operations at the Authority's health facilities in the provinces implementing the comprehensive health insurance system.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sabki, Chief of the Egypt Health Care Authority, expressed his pleasure in cooperating with Banque Misr, one of the leading national banks renowned for its banking services and social responsibility. He stated that this partnership with Banque Misr is a significant step towards achieving integration between health and banking services and supporting medical investment.

Dr. El-Sabki pointed out that the Authority aims to establish a strategic partnership with Banque Misr to enhance cooperation with the private sector and investment through credit facilities for establishing outpatient clinics, medical laboratories, and radiology centers within the Authority's facilities. This also includes offering banking facilities, benefits, and greater support for the Authority's staff, whose numbers are increasing as new provinces are added to the comprehensive insurance system up until 2030.

The cooperation protocol with Banque Misr includes the provision of ATMs, point of sale (POS) machines, the opening of banking units at the medical and administrative facilities affiliated with the Authority, and training programs for employees on the mechanisms of financial and banking inclusion.

Dr. El-Sabki mentioned that this cooperation between the Egypt Health Care Authority and Banque Misr enhances financial inclusion, aligning with Egypt's Vision 2030 to improve access to financial services, efficiency, transparency, saving time and effort, supporting the national economy, and achieving the goals of sustainable development.

He added that the Authority is implementing the directives of the political leadership to support private sector participation in enhancing its inclusion in the comprehensive health care system. This concerted effort contributes to building a community of integrated services and enhances citizen satisfaction with government services.

On his part, Mr. Mohamed El-Etreby, Chairman of Banque Misr and President of the Federation of Egyptian Banks, stated his happiness with the cooperation with the Egypt Health Care Authority to support the electronic payment and collection system and electronic banking operations in the provinces implementing the comprehensive insurance system. He affirmed that Banque Misr provides integrated and advanced banking solutions in line with international standards.

This cooperation contributes to improving access to financial and banking services, enhancing financial inclusion, transitioning towards a cashless society, improving quality of life, and achieving comprehensive development. Mr. El-Etreby emphasized the importance of joint efforts between the banking and health sectors to achieve sustainable development goals, noting Banque Misr's commitment to participating in partnerships and initiatives that promote the use of various electronic payment options to meet the needs of different segments of society.
