The Egypt HealthCare Authority revealed a wide turnout of VIP visitors and African brothers to its smart pavilion participating in the fourth edition of the Africa Health ExCon 2025 exhibition and conference.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, stressed that the Authority's participation this year came under the umbrella of the exhibition's slogan: "Innovation and Independence: Harnessing Artificial Intelligence and Local Manufacturing to Strengthen African Health Systems." The Authority's pavilion embodied an innovative technological experience that simulates the future of health care through an interactive display of the latest applications of artificial intelligence, extended reality, and smart digital transformation applied within the Authority's facilities in comprehensive health insurance governorates. Reflecting the Authority's commitment to localizing technology and achieving sustainability and health justice goals in Egypt.

At the conclusion of his statements, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki stressed that the Authority attaches great importance to the Africa Health ExCon exhibition and conference, which has turned into a national platform that highlights the efforts of the Egyptian state in health digital transformation and transferring the pioneering Egyptian experience to our brothers in Africa and the region.
He pointed out that the Authority's participation aims to support knowledge exchange, attract more international expertise and partnerships that accelerate the pace of smart transformation, and contribute to raising the efficiency and quality of health services provided to citizens.
In a related context, the General Authority for Health Care participated in a number of high-level scientific and discussion sessions within the activities of the fourth edition of the "Africa Health ExCon 2025" exhibition and conference, with the participation of an elite group of the authority's leaders, where a number of its executive leaders and specialists managed these discussions or presented advanced national experiences in various health care axes.
The sessions organized or participated in by the Authority addressed strategic topics in the health transformation process, including prevention of chronic diseases, digital transformation and building medical databases, and applications of artificial intelligence in the health sector, in addition to reviewing the experience of establishing the first virtual hospital in Egypt. Sessions were also devoted to highlighting medical tourism as one of the promising areas of health investment and environmental sustainability in health facilities through the "Green Hospitals" initiative, in addition to sessions that discussed reforming health financing systems and other vital topics that contribute to shaping the features of a more efficient and sustainable future for the health care sector in Egypt and the African continent.
It is worth noting that the fourth edition of the Africa Health ExCon exhibition and conference was held under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, during the current month of June, organized by the Egyptian Authority for Unified Purchasing, Medical Supply and Logistics, and the Medical Technology Department, and in cooperation with the African Center for Disease Control (Africa CDC) and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD).
This high-level cooperation confirms Egypt's growing position as a leading regional center for medical care in Africa and embodies its role in supporting efforts to develop health systems on the continent by strengthening effective partnerships and exchanging experiences with sister countries.
