The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority witnessed the signing of a bilateral cooperation protocol with Al Mokhtabar Laboratories Group, focused on developing medical laboratories, enhancing the skills of employees, and fostering innovation in diagnostic services through joint research to introduce the best laboratory technologies in accordance with the latest technological advancements.
The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority stated that the cooperation with Al Mokhtabar Laboratories Group aims to exchange and transfer expertise in laboratory management, expand the partnership with the Authority to offer laboratory services at the highest quality standards, enhance access to the latest technologies and practices, and explore joint investment opportunities.
The cooperation with Al Mokhtabar includes developing medical training by training doctors, chemists, technicians, administrators, and workers in health facilities affiliated with the Authority to enhance their efficiency and develop their skills.
The cooperation with Al Mokhtabar will also include providing consultations and laboratory services at the same standards offered by Al Mokhtabar Laboratories in any of its branches, offering advice, extensive support, and training for the Authority's staff to qualify them for laboratory accreditation according to international standards, and assisting and supervising the application of these standards within the laboratories.
The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority added that the cooperation will also involve participating with the Authority in organizing medical convoys and health initiatives to provide services in various provinces implementing the comprehensive insurance system, participating in health and awareness days aimed at spreading health awareness among citizens and community service.
The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority mentioned that there are more than 300 laboratories in the Authority's health facilities, including medical complexes, hospitals, and primary healthcare centers in provinces currently implementing the comprehensive health insurance system. He emphasized that the coming period would witness partnerships with major private sector institutions that have the expertise and efficiency to manage services in a sophisticated and economical manner, achieving efficiency, effectiveness, and quality in service delivery.
The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority highlighted that the cooperation between the Authority and Al Mokhtabar Laboratories is an important step to enhance the partnership between the government and private sectors and to boost health investment. This protocol paves the way for a strategic relationship with Al Mokhtabar Laboratories Group, which is widespread across the Republic, especially with the expansion of the comprehensive insurance system in all provinces.
The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority stated, "We are working with the national private sector as one team to achieve our shared goals of providing high-quality comprehensive healthcare that the Egyptian citizen deserves."
The Chairman of the Board of Integrated Diagnostic Holdings (IDH) and the CEO of Al Mokhtabar Laboratories Group expressed happiness about the cooperation with the Egypt Healthcare Authority to enhance the collaboration between the private and government sectors in line with the Egyptian state's direction to provide innovative services and enhance the quality of comprehensive healthcare.
He continued, "This cooperation is part of our joint efforts to develop the health sector and provide the best possible services to citizens," highlighting that the Egypt Healthcare Authority adopts a practical approach to partnering with the private sector that ensures the preservation of patient rights to fair access to services and employs the private sector's distinctive management expertise to achieve the state's goals.
The signing ceremony was attended by leaders and officials from both sides, marking a significant step towards improving health services and expanding the scope of healthcare in Egypt, combining the strengths of both the public and private sectors to achieve the best outcomes in providing medical and diagnostic services to citizens.
