The Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement with Mersal to enhance the provision of the best healthcare services for citizens and raise awareness about the Universal Health Insurance system.
The Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, the Vice Chairman, and the Chairman of the Egyptian Group Company witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Authority and the company to exchange expertise through training medical staff on the latest medical technologies.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, witnessed the signing of several strategic cooperation agreements and partnership protocols between the Authority, Mersal Foundation, the Egyptian Group Company for Import and Export, and Nestlé Health Science Egypt, during the Fifth Annual Forum of the Egypt Healthcare Authority.
Dr. Hani Rashid, Vice Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, and Dr. Amr Shaker, Chairman of the Egyptian Group Company for Import and Export, also witnessed the signing of the cooperation protocol between the Authority and the company.
The agreements were signed by Dr. Amir El-Telwany, Executive Director of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, on behalf of the Authority, by Mrs. Heba Rashid, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Mersal Foundation, by Mr. Ahmed Shalsh, CEO of the Egyptian Group Company for Import and Export, and by Mr. Tarek Kamel, Chairman and CEO of Nestlé Egypt.
The Egypt Healthcare Authority clarified that the cooperation agreement with Mersal aims to support the provision of the best healthcare services to citizens, as well as raise awareness about the Universal Health Insurance system in Egyptian society.
Additionally, the protocol of cooperation with the Egyptian Group Company for Import and Export aims to exchange expertise by training medical staff on the latest medical technologies, which contributes to improving healthcare standards in the healthcare facilities affiliated with the Authority.
The Authority also mentioned that the protocol with Nestlé Health Science Egypt aims to establish centers of excellence in therapeutic nutrition across various governorates, as well as providing specialized training programs for healthcare providers, which will enhance the quality of healthcare provided to patients.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, emphasized that the Authority is always striving to expand its partnerships with various sectors to improve and develop the healthcare services provided to citizens. He added that these collaborations represent an important step in implementing the Authority's strategy to enhance medical services and develop human resources across the country. He clarified that collaboration with major institutions is a real support for the Egypt Healthcare Authority’s Universal Health Insurance project, which aims to improve the quality of healthcare for all citizens.
Dr. El-Sobky also mentioned that the Authority is working to provide an integrated healthcare environment by utilizing the latest technologies and training programs aimed at raising the level of medical staff. He added that partnerships with major companies such as Mersal and Nestlé, as well as international organizations, contribute to achieving these ambitious goals by providing innovative solutions in various healthcare fields.
Mrs. Heba Rashid, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Mersal Foundation, expressed her happiness with the signing of the agreement with the Egypt Healthcare Authority, stressing that this step is part of Mersal’s commitment to providing healthcare support and expanding its services to achieve the greatest positive impact on Egyptian society.
Mr. Ahmed Shalsh, CEO of the Egyptian Group Company for Import and Export, confirmed that signing the cooperation protocol with the Egypt Healthcare Authority represents an important opportunity to exchange expertise in the medical training field and provide the latest medical technologies that contribute to developing human resources, including doctors and nurses, in various healthcare institutions in governorates covered by the Universal Health Insurance system.
Mr. Tarek Kamel, Chairman and CEO of Nestlé Egypt, expressed his pride in participating in this project, explaining that Nestlé Health Science focuses on providing innovative nutritional solutions aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals with specific nutritional needs. He confirmed that collaboration with the Egypt Healthcare Authority will enable the establishment of centers of excellence in therapeutic nutrition and provide specialized training programs for healthcare providers, thus enhancing the quality of care for patients.
