signing of a bilateral cooperation protocol between the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Vodafone Business

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, President of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Supervisor General of the Universal Health Insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, witnessed the signing of a bilateral cooperation protocol between the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Vodafone Business to enhance cooperation in the development of digital healthcare services in Egypt. The signing ceremony was also attended by Dr. Hany Rashed, Vice President of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, and Mr. Ayman Essam, Head of External Relations and Legal Affairs at Vodafone Egypt.

The protocol was signed by Dr. Amir Talaat, the Executive Director of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, representing the Authority, and Mr. Mahmoud El-Khatib, Head of the Business Sector at Vodafone Egypt, representing the company, in the presence of leaders and officials from both sides.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky stated, "This strategic cooperation with Vodafone Business is a crucial step towards continuing the improvement of healthcare services and the advancement of the healthcare system by enhancing digital transformation in Egypt. Through our joint efforts, we aim to provide comprehensive solutions that contribute to the development of the healthcare infrastructure, manage healthcare facilities, and provide innovative services that meet the needs of citizens and expand access to medical services more effectively and efficiently throughout the country, especially in remote areas."

Dr. El-Sobky added, "Vodafone Business is a strategic partner in the digitalization project of the universal health insurance system in cooperation with ministries, institutions, and relevant authorities. This current partnership with the Egypt Healthcare Authority reaffirms our shared commitment to achieving sustainable development in Egypt by enhancing healthcare and providing excellent services to citizens. We are moving forward in enhancing strategic partnerships that serve the community's interest and achieve tangible progress in the healthcare sector, aiming to build a comprehensive and innovative technological health system that meets the needs and aspirations of the Egyptian community."

The parties agreed, under this protocol, to cooperate to enhance digitalization and development in the healthcare sector by utilizing the latest information technology tools and techniques. This includes providing comprehensive digital solutions to improve the management of healthcare facilities, enhancing communication in remote areas, and offering a variety of services to the staff of the Authority. This protocol also opens new avenues for cooperation to enhance medical tourism in Egypt, which has been a significant focus of the Egyptian state recently, positioning Egypt to compete globally as a leading medical tourism destination.
