Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority Announces the Opening of a Dialysis Unit at Al-Fayrouz Medical Complex in South Sinai
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, announced the inauguration of a dialysis unit at Al-Fayrouz Medical Complex, affiliated with the Authority in South Sinai. This marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the Universal Health Insurance system in the governorate, one of the first-phase regions under the program.
Dr. El-Sobky emphasized that the new unit provides a comprehensive range of medical services, including hemodialysis sessions, meticulous medical follow-ups, and specialized consultations, to ensure the best health outcomes for patients. The unit is set to serve more than 50 patients suffering from kidney failure, enhancing the Authority’s ability to meet the healthcare needs of citizens in the region.
He highlighted that the unit is equipped with the latest dialysis and water treatment technologies and staffed by a highly trained medical team to ensure safe and effective healthcare services in line with global quality standards.
Dr. El-Sobky noted that the total cost of establishing and equipping the unit, including medical devices, water treatment systems, and logistical preparations, exceeded EGP 30 million. This investment underscores the Authority’s commitment to improving the quality of healthcare services provided to citizens.
The inauguration of this unit reflects the Egypt Healthcare Authority’s dedication to providing modern and advanced healthcare services across all governorates where the Universal Health Insurance system is implemented. This initiative aligns with the system's goals to deliver top-tier healthcare services and ensure a better quality of life for all citizens.
