The Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority witnessed the 46th Doctor's Day celebration at the General Syndicate of Egyptian Physicians, coinciding with the 197th anniversary of healthcare in Egypt.

Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority: Doctor's Day is a message of thanks and recognition, especially this year for their efforts in treating the wounded from Gaza, expressing appreciation for their dedication to the healthcare progress and development in Egypt.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Supervisor General of the Universal Health Insurance and Decent Life projects under the Ministry of Health and Population, attended today the 46th Doctor's Day celebration, held at the headquarters of the General Syndicate of Egyptian Physicians, coinciding with the 197th anniversary of healthcare in Egypt since the establishment of Kasr El-Ainy Hospital. On March 18, 1837, the first national medical school in Egypt, Kasr El-Ainy School, was founded.

This event was attended by Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population; Professor Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Presidential Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs; Professor Dr. Adel Adawy, former Minister of Health and President of the Egyptian Medical Association; Professor Dr. Ashraf Hatem, Chairman of the Health Committee in the House of Representatives; Professor Dr. Ali Mehran, Chairman of the Health Committee in the Senate; Professor Dr. Osama Abdel Hai, General Syndicate of Physicians; and Professor Dr. Hussein Khaled, former Minister of Health and head of the medical sector at the Supreme Council of Universities.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky highlighted the importance of participating in this day to acknowledge the primary role that physicians play in providing healthcare and maintaining the health of citizens. This event reinforces the relationships and cooperation between the Egypt Healthcare Authority and the General Syndicate of Egyptian Physicians, affirming joint efforts to enhance the quality of health services and develop the medical sector in the country.

On this occasion, Dr. El-Sobky expressed his appreciation for the significant efforts made by Egyptian physicians and their notable contributions to enhancing health and their role in building a more sustainable and advanced health community. He affirmed the Egypt Healthcare Authority's commitment to supporting physicians, improving their conditions, and providing a suitable work environment, as directed by the political leadership to ensure the best healthcare services are delivered to citizens.

Dr. El-Sobky added that the physicians' efforts have bolstered Egypt's leadership in healthcare. He noted that Doctor's Day is a message of thanks and recognition, particularly this year for their efforts in treating the injured from Gaza. Dr. El-Sobky expressed his appreciation for their dedication to the healthcare advancement and development in Egypt, confirming that physicians are a fundamental pillar of the healthcare system and a source of national pride due to their professional and humanitarian contributions.
