On the sidelines of the Egypt-France Business Forum, the Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority met with the CEO of Expertise France to discuss enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise.
The Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority announced discussions with Expertise France on establishing an Egyptian technical and professional support agency as a regional and international platform to exchange Egyptian expertise in healthcare, health reform, and universal health coverage, in coordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The President also discussed collaborating with Expertise France to establish a twinning agreement between Egypt Healthcare Authority hospitals and Foch Hospital in France to improve healthcare quality and exchange expertise, particularly in advanced care.
Furthermore, the President mentioned ongoing talks about training medical personnel from Egypt Healthcare Authority and the Ministry of Health in French hospitals to enhance capacities in advanced healthcare fields. They also discussed updates on the grant provided by the French Development Agency (AFD) to support the Authority’s post-2030 strategy.
The President emphasized the importance of continuing fruitful cooperation with Expertise France in strengthening the Egyptian healthcare system and developing medical competencies to keep pace with the latest global advancements.
The CEO of Expertise France expressed his pleasure with the meeting, underscoring the importance of ongoing cooperation between both sides. He reiterated Expertise France's commitment to supporting Egypt's efforts to improve healthcare quality and expand universal health coverage, commending the Egypt Healthcare Authority's efforts in advancing the healthcare sector and enhancing international partnerships.
