The Head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority Participates in the Preparatory Conference for the International Conference on Medical Tourism, Scheduled to Launch in the New Administrative Capital Next March.

The Head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority: The conference is a starting point for announcing the integration of the Egyptian state in providing services and an ideal platform for an alliance between public and private sector hospitals.

He stated: We have 176 facilities that have been initially and fully accredited so far, and Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital is the first government hospital in the history of Egypt to obtain the JCI international accreditation.

Under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobki, Head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and Decent Life Projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, participated today in the preparatory conference for the International Conference on Medical Tourism "Egypt Health Tourism International Conference", which is scheduled to launch in the new administrative capital next March.

This was attended by Professor Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention and Chairman of the Conference, Major General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai and Honorary President of the Conference, Ambassador Soha Nashed Jundi, Minister of State for Migration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Dr. Ghada Shalaby, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Major General Mohamed El-Zamlot, Governor of Wadi El-Gedid, Dr. Nahal Balbaa, Acting Governor of Beheira and Deputy Governor, and Dr. Ahmed Taha, Head of the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control, in addition to a number of senior officials and investors in the healthcare sector in various sectors of the state.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobki welcomed all participants in the conference at the beginning of his speech, and the quick response to the assignments of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in the medical tourism file, wishing the conference great success, and that it will have a very positive impact on this file, which is honored by the patronage and support of His Excellency Mr. President, which confirms the political importance of the conference, and stressing that Egypt has all the ingredients to be the first destination for medical tourism in Africa and the Middle East.

El-Sobki pointed to the importance of the participation of various sectors of the state in the conference, whether from the government, private and civil sectors, stressing that in the era of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, we are living in the era of the comprehensive concept of the state with the participation of all sectors, and the combined efforts of all to achieve success in all important and vital files in the state, pointing to the importance of the participation of the private sector, which has proven in many countries to play a major role in attracting more visitors for treatment.

El-Sobki added that the presence of Egyptian experts and scientists around the world is something that makes the Egyptian state proud in the medical sector, which can be used to the fullest extent to market and promote the medical tourism file on the international level in cooperation with the Ministry of State for Migration, pointing to the qualitative leap of the Ministry of Tourism in adding accommodation capacity from hotel rooms in hotels helps to receive incoming tourists for treatment and also supports the development of this file.
