Dr. Amr Abdel Nabi, the Advisor to the Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority for Partnerships and Business Development, delivered a speech during the preliminary events of the fourth edition of the Egypt International Health Exhibition and Conference "Egy Health," scheduled to take place from October 10 to 12, 2024.
The Egypt Healthcare Authority emphasized the importance of partnerships with the private sector and civil society, and confirmed its support for the localization and deepening of the medical supplies and devices industry to reduce the import bill.

Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority: Participation in the Egypt International Health Exhibition and Conference aligns with its vision to deepen and localize the domestic industry and support the Egyptian Vision 2030, enhancing Egypt's position as a regional center for healthcare and attracting global investments.
On behalf of Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance and Decent Life projects, Dr. Amr Abdel Nabi participated in the preliminary events of the fourth edition of the Egypt International Health Exhibition and Conference "Egy Health," scheduled from October 10 to 12, 2024.
Dr. Amr Abdel Nabi, in his speech on behalf of the Chief of the Authority, highlighted the Authority's goal in participating in the Egypt International Health Exhibition and Conference "Egy Health," to showcase its pioneering experience as the state's main arm in regulating and providing comprehensive health insurance system services and its role in providing advanced medical care according to international quality standards. This has reflected in tangible achievements on the ground in the first phase governorates of the comprehensive health insurance system: Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Aswan, and Suez.
The Advisor to the Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority for Partnerships and Business Development pointed out the targeted collaboration with the private sector and civil society in healthcare fields and improving medical services, as well as exploring cooperation opportunities in healthcare through interaction with Arab and international health companies participating in the Egypt International Health Exhibition and Conference "Egy Health," scheduled from October 10-12, 2024.
He added that the Authority places significant emphasis on localizing and deepening the medical supplies and devices industry, noting that the import bill exceeds one billion dollars. He highlighted the political leadership's support for localizing more than 150 million dollars of the import bill by domestic production of competitive medical supplies and devices for the local and African market.
During his speech, Dr. Hazem Khamis, Professor of Cardiology and General Manager of Wadi El Nile Hospital and President of the 2024 Egypt International Health Exhibition and Conference "Egy Health," stated that the events of the conference and exhibition in its fourth edition are held under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population.
He added that the conference and exhibition aim for genuine partnership among health sector participants, praising the role of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and the qualitative leap achieved by the Authority through providing health services comparable to those in developed countries since the launch of the comprehensive health insurance system over five years.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance project, mentioned that more than one partnership project between the Egypt Healthcare Authority and the Unified Purchasing Authority and the Arab Organization for Industrialization will be announced during the events of the Egypt International Health Exhibition and Conference 2024 "Egy Health."
He expressed his pleasure that the Egypt Healthcare Authority is among the sponsors of this important event "Egy Health 2024" in its fourth edition, which is a valuable opportunity to enhance collaboration among healthcare providers, exchange knowledge, discuss healthcare challenges, explore the latest technologies and innovative solutions to enhance our peoples' health, and facilitate communication between healthcare providers and beneficiaries, supporting the Egyptian Vision 2030 to achieve a qualitative leap in the healthcare sector by completing the comprehensive health insurance project and also supporting the Egyptian state's concept of deepening and localizing Egyptian industry.
He noted that the conference is an opportunity to enhance Egypt's position as a regional healthcare hub in Africa and the Middle East, showcasing factors that make Egypt an attractive destination for investment in the healthcare sector, particularly in medical tourism, confirming that the conference aligns with the Authority's deep belief in the importance of cooperation and partnership for exchanging experiences and knowledge to enhance innovation and stimulate the exchange of constructive ideas that serve all parties involved in healthcare.
The Egypt International Health Exhibition and Conference 2024 will feature the latest medical equipment, medical products, and healthcare technology from around the world for business networking, exchanging expertise with exhibitors, exploring new products, and will be held from October 10-12, 2024, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center.
