The Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) Board of Directors, led by Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Board and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, extended heartfelt Ramadan greetings to H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, wishing Egypt's leadership and people prosperity and blessings during the holy month.
This came during the 83rd periodic meeting of the Board of Directors, held at the EHA headquarters in Cairo, where several critical topics were discussed, performance reports were reviewed, and a series of resolutions were passed to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of Egypt’s healthcare services.
Recognizing Employee Dedication Through Healthcare Discounts
In acknowledgment of EHA employees' efforts, the board approved special discounts on medical services within EHA facilities, offering:
- 50% discount for first-degree relatives
- 25% discount for second-degree relatives of non-UHI beneficiaries
This initiative aims to strengthen employee loyalty while reinforcing a supportive and motivating work environment.
Success at Arab Health 2025 and Strengthening International Partnerships
The board reviewed EHA’s participation in the Arab Health 2025 conference in Dubai, highlighting the successful signing of MoUs with leading global healthcare companies and high-level discussions with senior healthcare officials.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky emphasized that the visit strengthened EHA’s global partnerships, paving the way for healthcare development and service expansion in Egypt.

The board approved the asset transfer report for South Sinai, executed under Cabinet Decision No. 2679 of 2024, confirming compliance with established standards.
In recognition of their efforts, the board approved special rewards for the asset handover committee for their diligence and professionalism in completing the process efficiently.

To bolster financial oversight and governance, the board approved the formation of an internal audit committee, which will:

As part of its largest-ever human resource investment project, the board approved steps to establish the EHA Training Academy.

The board approved a cooperation protocol with Port Said Technical Health Institute, facilitating:
- Training for students within EHA facilities
- Hosting of nursing students from affiliated technical institutes
Additionally, the board approved an additional discount for South Sinai University for training internship students within EHA facilities, while maintaining existing fees for foreign students.
This measure aligns with the increasing demand for high-quality medical training and fosters stronger collaboration between the healthcare and education sectors.
