The meeting featured in-depth discussions on strategic transformations in hospital governance, global healthcare partnerships, and the critical role of digital transformation in enhancing healthcare sustainability and efficiency. The board also reviewed preparations for the 2025 IHF Global Hospital Forum in Geneva, which will highlight the latest advancements in hospital management and innovative healthcare technologies

Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority Highlights the Importance of Global Collaboration and Data-Driven Decision-Making

Dr. El-Sobky presented the IHF Annual Report and emphasized the importance of international collaboration in healthcare, as it enables knowledge exchange, adoption of best practices, and continuous healthcare improvement

He also reviewed the outcomes of the 2024 IHF Global Hospital Forum in Rio de Janeiro, reinforcing Egypt’s commitment to global health integration and the development of high-quality healthcare services through international partnerships

Hospitals Must Be Dynamic Centers of Innovation and Digital Transformation

Dr. El-Sobky stressed that modern hospitals are no longer just treatment facilities but have transformed into dynamic centers of innovation, research, and digital transformation

He pointed out that hospital management systems must evolve in parallel with medical advancements and that digital transformation is essential for improving operational efficiency and delivering patient-centered care

He further highlighted the role of big data analytics and AI-driven decision-making in enhancing hospital sustainability, optimizing resources, and ensuring the best patient outcomes

Universal Health Coverage Requires Investment in Big Data and Good Governance

Dr. El-Sobky noted that achieving Universal Health Coverage necessitates strong investment in healthcare data analytics and governance frameworks

He explained that advanced data-driven decision-making is key to enhancing hospital performance, predicting healthcare demands, and ensuring the financial sustainability of health services

He also pointed out that Egypt has already started implementing predictive analytics in hospital management, which has led to improved healthcare planning, early emergency response, and optimal resource allocation

Expanding Global Collaboration on Maternal Health

During the meeting, the IHF Board discussed a new initiative focusing on maternal health, aimed at reducing maternal mortality rates and improving pre- and post-natal care services

Dr. El-Sobky showcased Egypt’s national strategies for maternal health improvement and emphasized that hospitals must go beyond treatment by actively engaging in community awareness, public health initiatives, and preventative care
