Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and supervisor of the comprehensive health insurance and decent life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, met with Dr. Ayman Mokhtar, Regional President of Viatris for the Middle East, Turkey, and the Near East, Dr. Mohamed Souweilem, General Manager of Viatris Egypt, and Dr. Mona Mounir, Market Access Manager at Viatris Egypt.
The meeting reviewed the fruitful and ongoing cooperation between the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Viatris Egypt, focusing on health projects aimed at developing treatments for various diseases, applying the latest treatment protocols, providing medical staff training, launching awareness campaigns, and initiating comprehensive medical examinations for citizens.
Discussions also covered the continuation of cooperation to offer an advanced capacity-building program for medical staff within the Egypt Healthcare Authority's health facilities. The program will train over 300 medical staff members online and in-person, delivered by global trainers across various healthcare domains, and will feature certifications from renowned global academies and organizations such as the American College of Cardiology, World Heart Federation, ASCO, American Diabetes Association, NCD Alliance, World Psychiatric Association, and the Forum of International Respiratory Societies.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky highlighted the Authority's commitment to providing the highest levels of healthcare to citizens, stating that continuous training and development of medical staff skills are crucial for delivering high-quality, effective care. He noted that such development enhances the medical staff's ability to engage with modern medical technologies and apply the latest treatment protocols, improving patient experiences and treatment outcomes, thereby building a strong, advanced healthcare system that comprehensively and effectively meets community needs.
El-Sobky added that the strategic partnership and close cooperation with Viatris contribute to offering advanced health solutions, improving patient quality of life, and enhancing community health.
