Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, the Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and "Hayat Karema" projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, conducted an evening inspection tour of the healthcare facilities under the Authority in the Canal region governorates today. This was to ensure the smooth functioning of work and the implementation of medical insurance plans for the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
Dr. El-Sobky visited the Suez Medical Complex under the Egypt Healthcare Authority in Suez governorate. He inspected various departments, including emergency, inpatient, surgical, intensive care, radiology, and laboratories, among others.
During the visit, Dr. El-Sobky confirmed that all preparations and readiness measures to receive any medical cases and provide the best healthcare services throughout the Eid days were in place. He also surveyed patients and visitors at the health facilities to assess their satisfaction with the quality of medical services provided.
During the inspection, Dr. El-Sobky reviewed the availability of medical and preventive supplies, medications, vaccines, serums, blood and its derivatives in the Authority's health facilities, and ensured that the strategic stock was secured. He also verified the enhanced presence of medical teams in emergency departments and critical care units and the readiness of rapid deployment teams to handle any emergencies.
Dr. El-Sobky decided to award a motivational bonus to the medical teams in the emergency departments of the Suez Medical Complex in recognition of their continuous service and dedication to patient care and treatment.
Additionally, Dr. El-Sobky inspected the crisis management room at the Suez Medical Complex, which is part of the unified national network for emergency and public safety services. This room is electronically connected to state apparatus and crisis rooms of the Canal governorates, ensuring immediate response to any emerging crises. He emphasized the importance of the ongoing operation of this room to ensure effective coordination and rapid response to any incidents during the Eid celebrations.
Dr. El-Sobky praised the quality of the medical insurance and evacuation plans implemented in the health facilities of the Authority. He stressed the continuation of field visits and inspections by the Egypt Healthcare Authority's leadership to ensure the execution of medical insurance plans throughout the Eid days.
Dr. El-Sobky affirmed the Egypt Healthcare Authority's ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to the citizens, and continuing efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of the community during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
