The Egypt Healthcare Authority announces the examination of 285,000 citizens as part of the "Ramadan with Health for the Whole Family

The Egypt Healthcare Authority announces the examination of 285,000 citizens as part of the "Ramadan with Health for the Whole Family" initiative, which started at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan in the governorates implementing the Universal Health Insurance system.

The Egypt Healthcare Authority: The continuation of mobile clinics roaming remote and border areas and governorates, which started in the Canal Region and are now covering the governorates of Upper Egypt. With 480 mobile medical teams from family medicine centers and units affiliated with the Authority roaming the governorates implementing the Universal Health Insurance system to achieve 100% of the initiative's targets.

He confirms: The continuation of operations rooms in every branch of the Authority in the governorates and a central room at the Authority's headquarters to monitor and evaluate the initiative's activities.

The Egypt Healthcare Authority announced the examination of 285,000 beneficiaries in the governorates implementing the Universal Health Insurance system "Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez, Aswan" as part of the activities of the "Ramadan with Health for the Whole Family" initiative. This accounts for 95% of the initiative's target, which launched at the beginning of the current Ramadan month.

The Authority's statement clarified that the "Ramadan with Health for the Whole Family" initiative targets three main categories: patients with hypertension, diabetes, and those with both conditions, in all governorates implementing the Universal Health Insurance system. This is part of the Authority's focus on regular medical follow-up for people with chronic diseases, the elderly, people with special needs, the financially disadvantaged, and high-risk patients.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and the Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and "Hayat Karema" projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, highlighted the ongoing activities of the "Ramadan with Health for the Whole Family" initiative during the Eid al-Fitr holiday in governorates implementing the Universal Health Insurance system. He acknowledged the dedication of all the medical teams involved in the initiative, emphasizing that the initiative's operations are supported by mobile clinics traveling across all regions within the Universal Health Insurance system governorates, starting from South Sinai and Suez to Aswan, and currently in Luxor. Moreover, 480 mobile medical teams from the Authority's family medicine units and centers, well-prepared for examining cases and conducting necessary medical interventions for beneficiaries, aim to reach the maximum number of beneficiaries to ensure their health and safety.

The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority pointed out that the initiative aims to perform comprehensive and regular medical examinations for individuals under the Universal Health Insurance system, focusing on their well-being and early disease detection. He confirmed the initiative would continue throughout the Eid al-Fitr celebrations, highlighting the continuous operation of monitoring and evaluation rooms in each branch of the Authority across the governorates, in addition to a central crisis and emergency management room at the Authority's headquarters, for instantaneous monitoring and assessment of the initiative's execution.

Additionally, the "Ramadan with Health for the Whole Family" initiative, launched by the Egypt Healthcare Authority for 2024, targets 300,000 citizens across the governorates implementing the Universal Health Insurance system. It aims to enhance health and prevent chronic diseases by offering optimal and free healthcare to people with chronic conditions during Ramadan. The initiative encompasses seven additional free services, notably, home medical follow-up for people with chronic diseases, activation of remote medical consultations with consultants and specialists, delivery of chronic medications to patients' homes, and awareness campaigns for patients and their families on managing chronic diseases and adopting healthy preventative practices.
